SKYLIGHT DIMMER
A dimmer mechanism is movable by a motor that is powered by solar-charged supercapacitors between a first configuration, in which the dimmer mechanism blocks little of the interior of a skylight tube to maximize light throughput into a room, and a second configuration, in which the dimmer mechanism blocks more of the interior of a skylight tube to reduce light throughput into the room.
Connector Element for a Flashing Assembly for use in a Roof Window Arrangement, and a Method for Weather Proofing a Roof Window Arrangement
A connector element for a flashing assembly for use in a roof window arrangement is disclosed. The exterior side of the connector element comprises a gutter with two longitudinal edges configured for engagement with an engagement section of a flashing member. A connecting section is configured for being connected to a bracket used for connecting a roof window to a load-bearing structure of the roof structure. The connector element is configured for being arranged with a first end at an outer side of a bottom frame member of a first roof window and a second end at a second roof window. At least one attachment element is provided on an end surface at the second end, said attachment element being adapted for engagement with a supporting element of a flashing assembly. A method for weather proofing a roof window arrangement is also disclosed.
SKYLIGHT OPERATING SYSTEM OF MODULAR DATA CENTER
The present invention discloses a skylight operating system of a modular data center, so as to timely respond to a firefighting requirement of the modular data center to reduce occurrence of firefighting-related accidents. The skylight operating system comprises: an electric skylight; a firefighting environment index monitoring device arranged inside the modular data center; a monitoring and interacting device arranged in a monitoring room outside the modular data center, and connected with the electric skylight and the firefighting environment index monitoring device, the monitoring and interacting device adapted for receiving monitoring information of the firefighting environment index monitoring device, and opening the electric skylight upon determination that a firefighting-related issue occurs inside the modular data center.
Systems for weatherproof roof hatch assemblies
A roof hatch for enabling access to a rooftop of a building from an interior of the building includes a curb adapter configured to be disposed over a curb of the rooftop. The curb is formed around an opening in the rooftop that fluidly connects the interior of the building to an exterior of the building. Additionally, the roof hatch includes a cover coupled to the curb adapter by a pivoting member. The cover includes a support extending within an interior length of the cover. The roof hatch includes a gas spring coupled between the support and the curb adapter. The gas spring is configured to apply a force to the support, and the support is configured to distribute the force along the interior length of the cover.
SMART HATCH AUTONOMOUS ACTUATION SYSTEMS FOR HATCHES WINDOWS AND DOORS
Systems and methods described in this application are directed to hatch lid actuation systems. Actuation systems of the inventive subject matter are configured to effect the opening and closing of lids that are hingedly coupled with an opening. An embodiment featuring a rotational actuator, e.g., a motor, as well as an embodiment featuring a linear actuator are described. Embodiments having rotational actuators can additionally feature a gearbox. Embodiments of the inventive subject matter can also include sensor packages that can determine various hatch lid conditions (e.g., whether a lid is open, closed, wet, etc.).
WINDOW, ESCAPE HATCH OR A DOOR COMPRISING A CHAIN SUPPORT MECHANISM
A chain support mechanism for use with an openable frame component and a method of using such a chain support is provided, where a chain actuator is provided in a housing, the chain actuator including a push-pull chain which chain can bend in one direction only, the housing mounted with its longitudinal extent along one frame component with the chain attached to the openable frame component where the chain actuator may be manipulated to extend or withdraw the chain from the housing, thereby moving the openable frame component, and where the chain support mechanism includes a first arm pivotably fastened to the housing and a second arm pivotably fastened to the openable frame component, where the distal end of the first arm and the distal end of the second arm are pivotably connected by a sliding member, against which sliding member the chain may slide.
Roof structure
A roof structure that can provide a drone port where a drone can stably take off and land on a sloping roof includes a sloping roof covering the upper part of a building, a drone accommodation portion that has a size capable of accommodating a drone and is provided to cut out a part of the sloping roof so that a bottom surface is substantially horizontal, a drone port that is provided on the bottom surface of the drone accommodation portion where the drone can take off and land, a cover that covers an opening formed on the sloping roof for the drone accommodation portion, and a doorway that is provided on the drone accommodation portion and allows the drone to enter and exit, in which the cover is configured to be openable and closable, and the doorway is opened and closed by opening and closing of the cover.
Connector arrangement and a method for weather proofing a roof window arrangement
A connector arrangement for a flashing assembly for use in a roof window arrangement is disclosed. It comprises a base connector element, an elevation element and a top connector element. Both connector elements have a gutter in their exterior side, and the gutter is open at one end so that water can drain out of it. An attachment section on the interior side of the base connector element is configured for being attached to a bracket used for connecting a roof window to a load-bearing structure, and the elevation element supports the top connector element so that it is positioned above the base connector element. In the mounted state the second end of the top connector element is arranged above the gutter of the base connector element and their length directions extend substantially in parallel to each other. A method for weather proofing a roof window arrangement is also disclosed.
