Adaptor for a Medical Container, a Medical Container Comprising Said Adaptor, and a Method for Manufacturing Said Adaptor
The adaptor including a proximal part configured to be secured onto a distal tip of a medical container, a distal part configured to receive said connector in order to establish a fluid communication between the distal tip of the medical container and the connector, said distal part including a window extending through a lateral wall of the adpator. The adaptor further includes an indicator that is movable between a first position and a second position wherein the indicator outwardly extends relative to the first position. This indicator includes blocking means configured to block a movement of the indicator 8 from said first position to the second position, and a cam portion configured to be pushed outwardly by the connector when the connector reaches a predetermined position in the adaptor, thereby unblocking and pushing the indicator to the second position in order to provide an end user with a visual and tactile indication that the connection between the connector and the adaptor is terminated.
Adaptor for Mounting onto a Medical Container, a Medical Container Comprising Said Adaptor, and a Drug Delivery Device Comprising Said Medical Container
The adaptor includes a tubular wall having a proximal part configured to be secured onto a distal tip of a medical container and a distal part configured to receive said connector. The adaptor further includes an opening extending through said tubular wall, and an inner thread configured to cooperate with a connection element of the connector in order to secure the connector to the adaptor. The inner thread is configured to guide the connection element into said opening. The opening is positioned relative to the inner thread so as to make the connection element be visible to an end user when the connection between the adaptor and the connector is completed.
Fluid connector
In some examples, a connector includes a plug configured to mechanically couple with a socket to establish fluid communication from a first conduit to a second conduit. The plug is configured to mechanically engage the first conduit and the socket is configured to mechanically engage the second conduit. In examples, the plug is configured to insert into a socket well of the socket. The connector includes a clamp head configured to mechanically engage the plug when the plug mechanically couples with the socket. The clamp head is configured to mechanically engage the plug to help sustain the mechanical coupling of the plug and the socket. In some examples, the connector may include an output device configured to provide an output indicating when the plug is mechanically coupled with the socket.
Luer connector
A slip luer assembly includes a hub member and a latch member coupled to the hub member. The hub member includes an outer hub surface, an inner hub surface and a window surface. The window surface defines a window extending from the outer hub surface to the inner hub surface. The latch member includes at least one blade. The latch member is configured to be actuated between a first position and a second position. In the first position, the at least one blade is not positioned within the window of the hub member. In the second position, the at least one blade is positioned at least partially within the window of the hub member.
Reservoir connection interface with detectable signature
A connector interface system includes a cap to connect to a reservoir to form a reservoir/cap unit for installation into an infusion pump device. The cap has at least one receptacle for receiving one or more detectable features comprising at least one disc-shaped member, for detection by at least one sensor element on the infusion pump device when the reservoir of the reservoir/cap unit is received in a reservoir receptacle of the infusion pump device. The at least one detectable feature has at least one detectable parameter that is associated with one or more characteristics of the cap, the reservoir, the infusion pump device, a cannula associated with the cap or a tubing connected between the cap and the cannula.
Connector System For Releasably Connecting Fluid Conduits
Disclosed herein are embodiments of a connector system for releasably connecting together tubes, for example medical tubing, and methods of making and using such a connector system, whereby the connector system includes a female coupler having a first passageway, a male coupler having a second passageway, a catch movably coupled to the female coupler, and a catch-receiving element coupled to the male coupler. The connector system further includes a release element movably coupled to the female coupler, whereby travel of the release element along or over a female coupler outer surface of the female coupler disengages the catch from the catch-receiving element to achieve a disconnected condition of the connector system. Further disclosed herein are embodiments of a connector system for releasably connecting together tubes, whereby the connector system includes at least one valve biased by a valve-biasing member disposed external to or outside of the fluid flow path.
System for identifying the presence and correctness of a tubing set
A medical device accessory comprising an interface configured to connect the medical device accessory with a medical device for administration of a medical treatment using the medical device and the medical device accessory, a plurality of electrical contacts proximate the interface, the electrical contacts comprising a lead electrical contact adapted to receive an voltage from a power source associated with the medical device and one or more identifying electrical contacts, and at least one conductor providing an electrical connection between the lead electrical contact and the one or more identifying electrical contacts. An arrangement of the one or more identifying electrical contacts connected to the lead electrical contact identifies a characteristic of the medical device accessory.
Coupling mechanism for medical devices
A releasable coupling mechanism for coupling a delivery catheter and a dilator. The delivery catheter comprising a delivery catheter hub at the proximal end and the dilator comprising a dilator hub at the proximal end. The proximal end of the delivery catheter hub comprises a coupling member for releasably receiving a raised portion which is positioned at a distal end of the dilator hub. The coupling member has a pair of engagement members positioned on opposing sides of the coupling member and configured to releasably engage the raised portion. The delivery catheter hub further comprising at least one indicia on the housing. The indicia indicate an orientation of the delivery catheter hub such that the dilator hub disengages from the coupling member by simultaneously deflecting the pair of engagement members.
