Method and Device for Welding at Least Two Profiled Sections for Window or Door Frames or Leaves
A method and a device (10) for welding at least two profiled sections (1) for window or door frames or leaves uses a heating unit (4) introduced between the profiled sections (2, 3) to be joined. At least two heating elements (5, 6) of the heating unit melt the profiled section ends (2, 3) at the end surfaces to be joined. In order to chamfer, in particular remove, a profiled section edge layer (20) of the profiled section ends (2, 3) along the layer surfaces (12, 13) thereof, at least one tool, in particular at least one cutting blade (7, 8), is arranged on the heating elements (5, 6) and is moved such that the material (9) to be melted is displaced into the profiled section interior (11) or into the interior (12) of the profiled section chambers (13). A compression device compresses the profiled section ends (2, 3).
Fiber-reinforced composite extrusion with enhanced properties
Embodiments herein include compositions, extruded articles, and methods of making the same. In an embodiment, an extruded article is included. The extruded article can include an extruded segment comprising a first composition. The first composition can include a polymer resin, an impact modifier and fibers. In some embodiments, the extruded segment can have a surface exhibiting an average depression depth of less than 0.0045 inches (0.1143 mm). Other embodiments are also included herein.

DUAL FUNCTION SNUBBER
A snubber includes an engagement portion with a free end configured to be removably engaged within a groove in a frame. The engagement portion includes a first engagement member and a second engagement member at least partially separated from the first engagement member. The second engagement member deflecting less than the first engagement member when a negative pressure is applied to the sash.
FENESTRATION ASSEMBLIES INCLUDING COMPOSITE FRAME CORES AND METHODS FOR SAME
A fenestration assembly includes a glazing unit includes a pane spacer between exterior and interior panes proximate glazing unit edges. A fenestration frame is coupled around the glazing unit and includes a frame core extending around the glazing unit. The frame core includes a unitary core wall including a composite material that is hollow and extends continuously from a core interior face to a core exterior face. A metal glazing cap is coupled with the frame core. The metal glazing cap having a cap end indirectly engaged with the glazing unit along the interior pane, and the cap end is remote from the pane spacer. Each of the core exterior face, the pane spacer and the metal glazing cap are thermally isolated from each other with the frame core including the unitary core wall.
Profile for window, door, facade and cladding elements
A profile for window, door, facade or cladding elements is disclosed, which comprises a profile body (2) made from thermoplastic material and extending in a longitudinal direction (z) with an essentially constant cross-section (x-y) along the longitudinal direction (z) and having at least one outer surface (2a), and a inorganic containing layer (4) deposited on at least part of the at least one outer surface (2a), wherein the thermoplastic material comprises at least one thermoplastic selected from the group containing polyamide, polyethylene, polybutylene terephthalate, acrylonitrile styrene acrylate, wherein the inorganic containing layer (4) is deposited directly on the profile body (2) using a cold spray technology, and wherein the inorganic containing layer (4) has a thickness in the range from 30 μm to 450 μm.
