System and method of testing for leaks after anastomosis
Devices, kits, and methods for testing the integrity of a cavity within an anatomical organ. For example, the devices, kits, and methods described herein are useful for detecting leaks in an anastomosis or for testing the integrity or repair of a defect in anatomy.
Fluid line autoconnect apparatus and methods for medical treatment system
A medical infusion fluid handling system, such as an automated peritoneal dialysis system, may be arranged to de-cap and connect one or more lines (such as solution lines) with one or more spikes or other connection ports on a fluid handling cassette. This feature may reduce a likelihood of contamination since no human interaction is required to de-cap and connect the one or more lines and the one or more spikes. For example, the automated peritoneal dialysis system may include a carriage arranged to receive the one or more lines each having a connector end and a cap. The carriage may move along a first direction so as to move the connector ends of the one or more lines along the first direction, and a cap stripper may be arranged to engage with the caps on the the one or more lines on the carriage. The cap stripper may move in a second direction transverse to the first direction, as well as to move with the carriage along the first direction.
Dual-chamber syringe with dual-lumen intravenous set
A dual-chamber syringe may include an end wall and a primary plunger. The primary plunger may include a primary stopper. The primary stopper may form a primary chamber with the end wall. A secondary plunger may be in mechanical association with the primary plunger. The secondary plunger may include a secondary stopper. The secondary stopper may form a secondary chamber with the primary stopper. A primary nozzle may extend from the end wall and may be in fluid communication with the primary chamber. A secondary nozzle may extend from the end wall and may be in fluid communication with the secondary chamber.
Connector assembly for a medical ventilator system
A connector assembly for a medical ventilator including a housing having a plurality of ports including an intervention port disposed and structured to introduce an intervention device into said housing and a patient airway. The plurality of ports also include a ventilator port and an airway port respectively disposed and structured to connect a ventilator and an artificial airway in fluid communication with one another. A valve structure is movably and removably disposed within a valve port and is disposable between open and closed positions. The closed position comprising the intervention port sealed from fluid communication with the housing and a closed ventilator circuit defining fluid communication between the ventilator port and the airway port. The open orientation comprising the intervention port disposed in communicating relation with the airway port concurrent to fluid communication between the ventilator port and the airway port.
Dual Lumen Cannula with Adjustable Length Infusion Tube
A dual lumen coaxial cannula assembly including a first infusion tube having a proximal end, a distal end, and a sidewall extending circumferentially therebetween, as well as a second drainage tube co-axially aligned with the first infusion tube, the second drainage tube having a proximal end, a distal end, and a sidewall extending circumferentially therebetween. The assembly also includes a connector assembly, which has an inlet portion through which a portion of the first infusion tube is configured to extend and an outlet portion through which a portion of the second drainage tube is configured to extend. The connector assembly is configured to enable selective axial displacement of the first infusion tube through the second drainage tube.
Two-Piece Catheters and Methods Thereof
Disclosed herein are two-piece catheters and methods thereof. For example, a two-piece catheter can include a proximal catheter piece and a distal catheter piece. The proximal catheter piece includes a proximal catheter-hub piece and one or more extension legs respectively including one or more extension-leg lumens. Each extension leg of the one-or-more extension legs is coupled to the proximal catheter-hub piece by a distal-end portion of the extension leg. The distal catheter piece includes a distal catheter-hub piece and a catheter tube including one or more catheter-tube lumens. The catheter tube is coupled to the distal catheter-hub piece by a proximal-end portion of the catheter tube. The two-piece catheter has a connected state in which the proximal catheter-hub piece is connected to the distal catheter-hub piece such that the one-or-more catheter-tube lumens are respectively fluidly connected to the one-or-more extension-leg lumens across a two-piece catheter hub.
Injection port protector
A device is provided for shielding a fluid access port structure that is located along tubing that is part of an intravenous (IV) medication delivery system and is configured to permit injection of a fluid into the tubing. The device includes a body having a hollow interior and a first opening formed therein for receiving the fluid access port structure such that a side wall of the body surrounds and extends above the fluid access port structure. The body also includes a second opening through which a fluid delivery member can be inserted to allow mating between the fluid delivery member and the fluid access port structure for delivering the fluid into the tubing.
Multi-lumen tube assemblies for medical fluid pumping systems
An assembly comprises a manifold configured to couple to a medical fluid cassette and a multi-lumen tube comprising a plurality of lumens within an outer wall of the multi-lumen tube. The manifold has a plurality of fluid connection ports and can be connected to the multi-lumen tube (e.g., via an adapter).
SURGICAL HANDPIECE FOR OCULAR SURGERY
An apparatus, system and method for a handpiece for ocular surgical. Included may be at least: a proximal portion having at least inlet ports for irrigation tubing and aspiration tubing, and providing an irrigation fluidic pathway extending therethrough from the irrigation tubing inlet port, and an aspiration fluidic pathway extending therethrough from the aspiration inlet port; a distal portion terminating in an emulsifying tip, and providing an aspiration pathway terminating in an aspiration output, and at least one irrigation pathway terminating in at least one irrigation output; and a swivel ball provided at a base of the proximal portion and having a first opening to the irrigation fluidic pathway, and a second opening to the aspiration fluidic pathway, which seats within a socket cup provided at an upper end of the distal portion.
Surgical gas delivery device with internal gaseous sealing module and filtered tube set therefor
A system for performing an endoscopic surgical procedure in a surgical cavity of a patient that includes a gas delivery device configured to deliver a flow of pressurized gas to a gas delivery lumen extending therefrom, a gaseous sealing module communicating with a distal end of the gas delivery lumen and configured to generate a gaseous seal within a gas sealed lumen extending therefrom, and an access port communicating with a distal end of the gas sealed lumen so as to provide sealed instrument access to the surgical cavity and maintain a stable pressure within the surgical cavity.
