The moving process can be carried out by at least one first trigger element or by a plurality of trigger elements. The first trigger element or the trigger elements can be actuated by a first projection or a plurality of projections. A first wedge seal can be provided between the first sash and the fixed frame, which is preferably wedge-shaped both in the main plane of the frame and perpendicular to the main plane of the frame. Between two sashes, in the region of the central break, L-shaped seals can be provided which engage one behind the other in the closed state of the two sashes.
SILL CORNER BRACKETS FOR COASTAL IMPACT RESISTANT FENESTRATIONS
Embodiments herein relate to fenestrations exhibiting coastal impact performance. In an embodiment, a fenestration unit includes a frame assembly forming a first lower corner and a second lower corner. A first sill corner bracket can fit on a top of a sill and extend from the first lower corner partway along the top of the sill and partway along one side jamb of the frame assembly. A second sill corner bracket can be configured to fit on the top of the sill and extend from the second lower corner partway along the top of the sill and partway along the other side jamb. A bottom sash can include a bottom rail defining a channel to receive at least a portion of the first corner bracket and the second corner bracket therein when the bottom sash is in the closed position. Other embodiments are also included herein.
Roller assembly and screen end retention features for a hidden screen assembly and a fenestration assembly
A fenestration assembly includes a sash, a frame surrounding the sash, and at least one screen assembly. The sash includes at least one magnet. The sash is slideably engaged with the frame. The at least one screen assembly includes a roller assembly, a control bar, and screen material attached to the roller assembly and the control bar. The roller assembly is substantially hidden from view. The control bar includes a ferromagnetic material. The screen assembly is configured to apply tension to the screen material to wind the screen material around the roller assembly and to permit the screen material to unwind from the roller assembly under a tension applied to move the control bar away from the roller assembly. The control bar automatically engages the at least one magnet of the sash when the sash is in the closed configuration to attach the control bar to the sash.
COASTAL IMPACT RESISTANT FENESTRATIONS INCLUDING CORNER KEY WITH OVERLAP GEOMETRY
Embodiments herein relate to fenestrations, such as windows and doors, exhibiting coastal impact performance. In a first aspect, an impact-resistant fenestration unit can be included having a frame assembly including a sill, a head jamb, and two opposed side jambs. A bottom sash can be included having a bottom rail, a check rail, and two opposed stiles. A first corner key can be configured to engage the bottom sash at a first lower corner. The first corner key can include a support arm extending in a first direction onto or into a first stile of the two opposed stiles. A first reinforcement member disposed on or within the first stile. The first reinforcement member can include a first end and a second end. The first end can overlap a portion of the support arm of the first corner key. Other embodiments are also included herein.
Window
A window for use on a structure has a first frame, a second frame and a fascia. The structure has a wall having an interior surface, an exterior surface, and an opening extending through the wall from the interior surface to the exterior surface. The opening has an upper edge, a lower edge, a first side, and a second side. The first frame contacts the interior surface of the wall and extends through the opening. The second frame is positioned below the opening and contacts the interior surface of the wall. The fascia is connected to the first frame and contacts the exterior surface of the wall.
THREE POINT LOCK
A fenestration assembly includes a frame assembly, a movable sash assembly and a lock assembly. The lock assembly includes a first lock and a second side lock. The first lock operatively locks and unlocks the moveable sash to the frame assembly in a first direction only when the movable sash is in a fully closed position. The first side lock operatively locks and unlocks the movable sash in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction both when the movable sash is in the fully closed position and a partially open position.
SCREEN EDGE RETENTION AND SCREEN RETHREADING FEATURES FOR A HIDDEN SCREEN ASSEMBLY AND A FENESTRATION ASSEMBLY
A fenestration assembly includes a sash, a frame surrounding the sash, and at least one screen assembly mounted in at least one of: the top portion and the bottom portion. The frame includes a top portion, a bottom portion, and two jambs forming first slots extending lengthwise along at least a portion of the jamb. The first slots each include a screen edge retention feature. The screen assembly includes a roller assembly substantially hidden from view, a screen material attached to the roller assembly, and a plurality of raised features. Edges of the screen material extend into the first slots. The raised features are attached to each of the edges of the screen material. The raised features are configured to engage the screen edge retention features and retain each of the edges of the screen material at least partially within the first slot of each of the two jambs.
Flat-type ventilation door-window structure
A flat-type ventilation door-window structure includes a frame (1), a first movable sash (2) and a second movable sash (3). The first movable sash (2) and/or the second movable sash (3) can slide up and down in an opening (11) of the frame (1). A first guide device (300) and a second guide device (400) being respectively provided between the first movable sash (2) or the second movable sash (3) and the frame (1). The first guide device (300) and the second guide device (400) can guide the first movable sash (2) or the second movable sash (3) to change the sliding path.
