Screen edge retention and screen rethreading features for a hidden screen assembly and a fenestration assembly
A fenestration assembly includes a sash, a frame surrounding the sash, and at least one screen assembly mounted in at least one of: the top portion and the bottom portion. The frame includes a top portion, a bottom portion, and two jambs forming first slots extending lengthwise along at least a portion of the jamb. The first slots each include a screen edge retention feature. The screen assembly includes a roller assembly substantially hidden from view, a screen material attached to the roller assembly, and a plurality of raised features. Edges of the screen material extend into the first slots. The raised features are attached to each of the edges of the screen material. The raised features are configured to engage the screen edge retention features and retain each of the edges of the screen material at least partially within the first slot of each of the two jambs.

The screen assembly includes a roller assembly substantially hidden from view, a screen material attached to the roller assembly, and a plurality of raised features. Edges of the screen material extend into the first slots. The raised features are attached to each of the edges of the screen material. The raised features are configured to engage the screen edge retention features and retain each of the edges of the screen material at least partially within the first slot of each of the two jambs.
LIFT WALL
A lift wall for covering a large opening between an indoor and outdoor space, such as a veranda or lanai. The lift wall comprises several vertically arranged panels that are at least partially transparent. Each of the panels is mounted in in a vertical side channel for movement between a closed position and an opening position. In the closed position, the panels are spread vertically with overlapping and interlocking horizontal edges to seal the opening. In the open position, the panels are positioned in side-by-side stacked arrangement, which may be at the top or the bottom of the opening. Top stacking is ideal for spaces where foot traffic traverses the threshold of the opening. Bottom stacking is advantageous for upper levels; the stacked panels provide a safety railing while not obscuring the view. A mesh screen panel may be added for use when the panels are retracted.
Customizable window and door system for severe weather protection
A customizable storm protection system for protection and aesthetics comprises a first jamb, a second jamb, a header, and a sill, each with a glazing recess, and each with a receptacle for inserting a screw boss that runs a length of each of the first jamb, the second jamb, the header, and the sill, wherein joined define a frame for the opening in a building. A customizable storm protection system may further comprise glazing received by the glazing recess of each of the first jamb, the second jamb, the header, and the sill. A customizable storm protection system may further comprise a storm track configured to the frame to, wherein the storm track identifies fastener locations for the screw boss within the frame, and wherein the storm track comprises a cap, a stanchion, and an attachment layer for attachment to the frame. The system enables different openings in a building to be individually customized for different types of storm protection while maintaining a uniform exterior appearance.
