Door with acoustic seals
A sliding door system (105) includes a track assembly (120) and a door (125) slidably connected to the track. Seals (245, 250, 605, 610, 300, 500) disposed about the door limit sound and/or infectious materials from passing thereby. One or more of the seals (245, 250) are disposed between the door and the track assembly. One or more other seals (605, 610) are disposed between the door and a wall to seal around the trailing end of the door. The system may also include a door dock (130) with one or more seals (300, 500) to seal around the leading end of the door. The system can also include a drop seal assembly (700) that selectively seals off a gap between the bottom of the door and the floor.
Pulley device, sliding door and sliding window
The present disclosure relates to a pulley device, a sliding door, and a sliding window. The pulley device includes: a pulley component including a pulley; a connecting component including a rocker, one end of the rocker being rotatably connected to the pulley component; and a housing including a bottom plate and two side plates. The two side plates are fixed to two opposed sides of the bottom plate, respectively, so that the bottom plate and the side plates jointly define a receiving cavity configured to receive the pulley component and the connecting component. A surface of the side plate facing the receiving cavity defines a receiving groove along a length direction of the side plate, and the other end of the rocker is received in the receiving groove and is capable of sliding along the receiving groove.
Connectors for smart windows
This disclosure provides connectors for smart windows. A smart window may incorporate an optically switchable pane. In one aspect, a window unit includes an insulated glass unit including an optically switchable pane. A wire assembly may be attached to the edge of the insulated glass unit and may include wires in electrical communication with electrodes of the optically switchable pane. A floating connector may be attached to a distal end of the wire assembly. The floating connector may include a flange and a nose, with two holes in the flange for affixing the floating connector to a first frame. The nose may include a terminal face that present two exposed contacts of opposite polarity. Pre-wired spacers improve fabrication efficiency and seal integrity of insulated glass units. Electrical connection systems include those embedded in the secondary seal of the insulated glass unit.
SLIDING SECURITY DOOR SYSTEM
The present sliding security door system includes a sliding security door extending between an upper track and a lower track. Separate motive and locking assemblies drive and secure the door, respectively. A control assembly in the system is capable of separately activating motive and locking effectors to allow for separate movement and locking/unlocking of the door. Because of this, the system is compact and capable of deployment in otherwise too-small spaces.
POWER POCKET SLIDING DOOR
A system for managing opening and closing a pocket door includes a spindle, an actuator, and brackets. The spindle extends along a longitudinal axis between first and second ends, and is configured to be coupled to the pocket door. The actuator is coupled to the spindle and is configured to cause the spindle to move axially along the longitudinal axis. The brackets are connected to the spindle at each end and are constrained from longitudinal motion relative to the spindle. The brackets are configured to affix the spindle to the pocket door. A bushing system couples each bracket to the spindle and is configured to dampen impact between the spindle and the brackets. For example, the bushing system may include lobed elements, made of a rubber material, that engage each other to transmit azimuthal forces. In some embodiments, another actuator is included to improve cycle like and redundancy.
RACK-AND-PINION HANDLE SYSTEM
A sliding door system includes a stationary door frame, a sliding door panel installed in the stationary door frame and movable between a closed and open position, and a handle assembly coupled to the sliding door panel. The handle assembly includes a rack housing installed within a vertical stile of the sliding door panel, a rack positioned within the rack housing and movable between stowed and extended positions, and a handle operatively coupled to a pinion engageable with the rack, the handle being pivotable about a pivot axis between first and second positions. Rotating the handle from the first position to the second position causes the pinion to move the rack to the extended position and into engagement with the stationary door frame, whereby the sliding door frame is forced away from the stationary door frame from the closed position to the open position.
Sliding security door with passive deadlock prevention
In a high-security sliding-door apparatus for closing and opening a corridor, the door having (a) a door frame having a track and a bi-directional effector, (b) a carriage having track-engaging rollers, (c) a slide plate slidably secured to the carriage and driven by the effector, and (d) a controller controlling slide-plate movement and enabling the door to be continuously closed but not locked, the improvement comprising centering apparatus for relative positioning of the slide plate and carriage, the centering apparatus including (1) a yoke attached to the slide plate at a yoke pivot and having a yoke cam surface thereabove, (2) a carriage-attached yoke-cam follower, and (3) springs having proximal ends attached to the yoke spaced above the yoke pivot and distal ends each attached to the carriage at points offset from the yoke pivot in opposite lateral directions, centering the door with the slide plate when unlocked.
Modular Multiple-Egress Doors for Dual Occupancy Aircraft Passenger Suites
A dual-occupancy aircraft minisuite incorporating a modular multiple-egress door assembly is disclosed. In embodiments, the dual-occupancy minisuite can accommodate two passengers in enhanced privacy. Access to (and egress from) the minisuite is through the modular multiple-egress door assembly, which provides forward and rear (relative to the egress gap between) sets of outer, intermediate, and inner doors. The outer doors translate laterally along rails in the intermediate doors, and the intermediate doors likewise translate laterally along rails in the inner doors, to open the minisuite for passenger access or direct view (or to close the minisuite for enhanced privacy). The forward and rear sets of doors are proportioned such that when any forward or rear translating door is jammed in a closed position, the remaining egress gap is of sufficient width to provide a distinct and independent emergency egress path for each occupying passenger of at least minimum required width.
Fire-resistant sliding door system
A sliding door system may satisfy the requirements of, and be fire-rated in accordance with, UL10B (“Standard for Fire Tests of Door Assemblies”), and/or satisfy the requirements of, and be pressure-rated in accordance with, UL10C (“Standard for Positive Pressure Fire Tests of Door Assemblies”).
Latching device and sliding door using same
The present invention provides a latching device and a sliding door using the same. The latching device includes two displacement components and two latching components arranged on the main body of the sliding door. The two displacement components are connected to each other and respectively arranged to drive the two latching components to displace. The two displacement components are operated through the lateral side and the edge side of the sliding door, respectively. The user can latch or unlatch the sliding door by operations of displacing the at least two displacement components when the sliding door is in a closed state or a completely open state. In addition, when a concealed sliding door is fully opened and the two sides are both hidden in the walls, the sliding door can be latched or unlatched by operating the latching device through the edge side of the sliding door.
