10612298 · 2020-04-07 ·

The lockable sliding security cover for a door comprises a primary entrance and a Judas gate. The Judas gate installs in the primary entrance. The Judas gate is a security device. The Judas gate is a controlled aperture that is formed through the primary entrance. The Judas gate allows for the passage of small objects through the primary entrance without requiring that the primary entrance be opened such that a person can pass through the primary gate. The Judas gate is a lockable structure. When the Judas gate is in an open position, the Judas gate further forms a deadbolt structure within the primary entrance such that the primary entrance cannot be forced open while the Judas gate is open.

A pocket door frame that is foldable for easier transport and takes up less space to store. The pocket door includes upper portions and lower portions that are horizontally orientated in use and that can be adjusted in width to allow the single pocket door frame to be used for several different pocket door widths. In a preferred embodiment, the various parts that comprise the pocket door frame and attachable upright members are constructed from a galvanized steel material having an anticorrosion coating to eliminate problems often experienced with wooden pocket door frames.

Bracket

A bracket for connecting a first extruded member having spaced and generally parallel extrusion fins to a second member. The bracket comprising a base plate, a longitudinal wedge element configured to be inserted in between the extrusion fins, an extrusion fin receiving channel to receive a first extrusion fin of the first extruded member, fastener receiving apertures through the base plate to receive a fastener to rigidly couple the bracket to the first extruded member, and a deformation cavity adjacent the fastener receiving aperture configured to receive a deformed extrusion portion of the first extrusion fin. The fastener receiving aperture is located on the base plate such that the deformed extrusion portion is forced into the deformation cavity and at least partially out of the extrusion fin receiving channel to form a rigid connection in a deformed condition when a fastener is located in the fastener receiving aperture.

SLIDING DOOR SYSTEM CAPABLE OF INLINE CLOSURE AND CAPABLE OF USE WITH CORNER OPENINGS
20190277080 · 2019-09-12 ·

A sliding door system for inline closure of an opening in the wall of a structure, which may be a building or an item of furniture, for example. The sliding door system includes a door panel, a guiderail assembly having a wall mount fixedly attached to the wall above the opening and a guiderail coupled to the wall mount via a plurality of doubled-hinge assemblies that together serve to allow the guiderail to pivot towards and away from the wall. The top portion of the door panel has one ore more roller assemblies that are slidably coupled to the guiderail via rollers. A stop on the guiderail serves as a catch, or cam, that causes a closing force on the door panel to be transferred to the double-hinge assemblies and to cause the door panel to be pulled into inline closure in the opening.

Access control system with sliding door with a gesture control function

The invention relates to a system for controlling access to a restricted area in a building, which system has a sliding door system and a controller for the sliding door system. The sliding door system has a door frame and a sliding door which can be displaced by a drive unit actuated by the controller. The door frame has a passage region and a wall shell region which accommodates the sliding door in the open position. The sliding door has an end face which points toward the passage region in the open position. The controller has a processor unit and a sensor unit, the sensor unit is arranged on the end face and the processor unit is arranged between the door leaves. A recognition device captures and checks credentials presented by a user. If the credentials are valid, a record is determined in a storage device, in which the credentials are assigned to an opening width (W) of the sliding door, in order to trigger the movement of the sliding door according to said opening width (W). The controller is designed to recognize a gesture made by the user and to actuate the sliding door depending on said gesture in deviation from the opening width (W).

Pocket sliding security gate

The invention relates to a sliding security gate inside a framed pocket unit. These Pocket Sliding Security Gates can be assembled and installed inside of the wall and positioned to close off rooms, hallways, and/or stairs for the protection of babies and toddlers, pets, and the disabled elderly. The Pocket Sliding Security Gate can be placed during construction where it can close across openings or hallways at the top or bottom of the stairs to provide safety and security to the vulnerable population listed above. In addition, this Pocket Sliding Security Gate also has an alarm attached to the end of the security gate so that when it opens, the alarm sounds to let the gatekeeper know that the security has been compromised.

POCKET DOOR FRAME ASSEMBLY

An improved pocket door frame for a sliding door. The frame employs a header support having an overhead track attached by T-nuts. A pair of vertical spreaders form a pocket recess entrance. A vertical stud member is attached to an end of the header support with a plurality of horizontal slats coupling the vertical spreaders to the vertical stud member. The horizontal slats are attached with even spacing and square alignment with plywood panels extending from a base to the header support and fastened to the horizontal slats and vertical stud member. A header spacer is positioned perpendicular to a lower surface of the header support and extends outwardly from the pocket recess. A header frame member is positioned perpendicular to each header spacer and extends outwardly from the pocket recess. The pocket door frame is constructed and arranged to provide dimensional stability and prevent warping or twisting.
