A fenestration assembly includes a glazing unit includes a pane spacer between exterior and interior panes proximate glazing unit edges. A fenestration frame is coupled around the glazing unit and includes a frame core extending around the glazing unit. The frame core includes a unitary core wall including a composite material that is hollow and extends continuously from a core interior face to a core exterior face. A metal glazing cap is coupled with the frame core. The metal glazing cap having a cap end indirectly engaged with the glazing unit along the interior pane, and the cap end is remote from the pane spacer. Each of the core exterior face, the pane spacer and the metal glazing cap are thermally isolated from each other with the frame core including the unitary core wall.

The invention describes the new aluminum alloy window design to provide increased energy saving, water proof, wind proof and how to maximize the material during the manufacturing process. There are only six different aluminum alloy extrusion pieces to construct the main structure of this aluminum sliding window. The current aluminum sliding window sold in USA usually consist of at least eight main aluminum alloy extrusion pieces. With this new window design, the window manufacture will be able to save on labor, material and inventory throughout the manufacturing process. Please see FIG. 1 for detail.

The exterior frame and plain stile of the aluminum sliding window have three stopping points consisting with one special designed shark-gill shape rubber strip and two brush seals. See FIGS. 2 and 3 for detail cross section diagram of the aluminum sliding window exterior frame and plain stile. With this window design, the outside cold air will need to make six turns in order to flow into inside of house. The head and sill of the exterior window frame have thermal insulation dividers to provide waterproof, windproof and thermal insulation function of the main window section. Please see FIG. 4 for illustration of this function. The meeting stile of the interior window has interlock mechanism with double shark-gill shape rubber strips to provide vertical water/wind proof in addition to the thermal insulation function. See FIG. 5 for detail on the window meeting stile cross section diagram. With this new window design, the window will reduce the manufacture cost and provide better and energy efficient window to customers.

A first magnet, integral with the guillotine, exerts a magnetic attraction of the guillotine into the seat. A second magnet, separated from the first magnet, is integral with the guillotine. A second magnet interaction element, separated from the first and second magnets, and interacting with the second magnet, is integral with the abutment element to attract the second magnet and exert an extraction on the guillotine, the second magnet extracting the guillotine from the seat only when the second magnet faces the second magnet interaction element or when the sliding direction intercepts the second magnet interaction element, the first magnet exerting a lower magnetic action than the second magnet.

A fenestration unit includes a first glass unit, a first panel frame, a second glass unit, a second panel frame, a sill flashing, and a frame. The frame includes a header, jambs, and a frame sill including a first track and a second track. The first panel frame and the first glass unit are slidable along the first track when positioned in the frame. The second panel frame and the second glass unit are slidable along the second track when positioned in the frame. The sill flashing includes a base extending under the first and second tracks and a wall extending upward from the base to inhibit moisture intrusion through the fenestration unit. The frame sill is removable from the frame without disassembling the sill flashing, the jambs, and the header.

The improved sliding glass door or window includes several glass panels that are mounted free-floating in a split frame with an upper and lower section that permits the glass panels to form at least a portion of an external wall of a skybox or the like. The frame and the glass panels that form the portion of the external wall preserves the weatherproofing of the room while also maintaining the safety and security of the room. The glass panels include spaced apart stationary end panels and at least one movable intermediate panel and possibly more intermediate panels as desirable. The end panels each abut against respective room walls with a flexible strip to seal the sliding glass door or window to the walls. The movable intermediate panels may be moved interiorly toward a fixed wall to provide access to the exterior of the room. The intermediate panels seal against the stationary panels to seal the sliding glass door or window thereto.

A door package or door assembly includes multiple door panels. A top frame member has one or more tracks upon which one or more door panels may slide relative to a door opening to close the door opening when in a fully extended position and to open the doorway when in a retracted position. When in its retracted or open position, a plurality of door panels may also pivot about a pivot plate attached to the floor to a broken open position essentially perpendicular to the plane of the doorway opening. Upper and lower magnetic latch assemblies automatically decouple to permit pivoting of the entire door panel assembly when the panels are fully retracted, and when the panels are not fully retracted, are automatically actuated to prevent pivoting of the door panel assembly.
