INFUSION SYSTEM AND COMPONENTS THEREOF
Certain embodiments provide multi-medicament infusion systems for preventing the cross-channeling of medicaments. The system may include one or more of an infusion pump, medicament reservoirs, collars, a multi-channel fluid conduit, and an infusion set. The medicament reservoirs and/or collars may be sized and shaped differently such that the medicament reservoirs can only be inserted into the system selected configurations.
CONNECTION SYSTEM FOR MEDICAL APPLICATIONS
A connecting system for medical applications, which can be used in medical technology, particularly in the field of oncology, includes a male connector and a complementary female connector. The male connector has a plug and an annular wall that concentrically encloses the plug while forming an annular gap. The male connector also has an internal thread facing toward the plug. The female connector has a socket complementary to the plug and an external thread complementary to the internal thread. The female connector is inserted into the annular gap of the male connector in a connected state. An inactive adhesive arrangement is provided in the annular gap and assigned an activation system, in such a way that activation of the adhesive arrangement takes place as a result of insertion of the female connector into the annular gap of the male connector.
FLUSH ENHANCING MALE LUER TIP DESIGN FOR SYRINGES AND ANY LUER CONNECTOR
A luer connection device is disclosed having a housing including a side wall having an inside surface defining a lumen with a central axis, an proximal end, and a distal end including a male luer tip within the lumen having a central flow diverter extending outwardly from the central axis to direct a fluid to a circumferential dead space distal to the male luer tip. A luer connection device is also disclosed having a flow expansion channel disposed in the lumen tapering outward from the wall of tubular housing and partially extending along a longitudinal axis from the tip opening toward the base opening for increasing mixing and flow through a circumferential dead space in the fluid path distal to the male luer tip.
Smart connection interface
A method and apparatus for a connection interface between a reservoir or syringe, infusion set tubing, and an infusion pump is provided. The reservoir, a base and a cap are connected to form an integrated unit that is capable of being inserted and secured in an infusion pump housing. The cap and the infusion pump are each provided with at least one sensor or at least one detectable feature, arranged to interact with at least one corresponding detectable feature or sensor on the other of the cap and infusion pump device, to detect one or more of the presence, position or other characteristic of the cap when the cap is aligned or coupled with the infusion pump housing. The detectable feature and sensor may be magnetic, RF, mechanical, optical or any combination.

PUMP DEVICE WITH MULTIPLE MEDICAMENT RESERVOIRS
Devices and methods are disclosed for delivering multiple medicaments from multiple reservoirs to a patient. The devices and methods may be configured to prevent or reduce the incidence of a user transferring a fluid to or from an incorrect reservoir.
Method and apparatus for treatment of pleural effusion
A device for the drainage of a pleural effusion through an operatively engaged chest tube in the chest wall. The device employs a check valve situated between a vacuum source communicating with the chest tube to prevent reversal of the fluid flow out of the patient's body and possible contamination. A valve mounted on a vacuum bottle provides user control of communication of negative pressure from the vacuum bottle to the chest tube. Opening the valve on the bottle communicates negative pressure to the chest tube relative to the pressure in the tube thereby initiating a fluid flow out of the tube and the patient. Once the valve on the bottle is closed, fluid flow ceases and the check valve prevents reversal of the flow.
BLOOD CIRCUIT ADAPTER SET AND BLOOD CIRCUIT
An adapter set that is attached to artery-side and vein-side shunt connectors-that are provided on a blood circuit. The adapter set includes: an artery-side adapter that has one end thereof connected to the artery-side shunt connector, has the other end thereof connected to a drainage port that is provided on the outside of the blood circuit, and thereby connects the artery-side shunt connector and the drainage port fluid tight; and a vein-side adapter that has one end thereof connected to the vein-side shunt connector, has the other end thereof connected to a supply port that is provided on the outside of the blood circuit, and thereby connects the vein-side shunt connector and the supply port fluid tight. The structure of the other end of the artery-side adapter and the structure of the other end of the vein-side adapter are different.
Flush enhancing male luer tip design for syringes and any luer connection

A MALE FLUID CONNECTOR, A FEMALE FLUID CONNECTOR AND A FLUID CONNECTION SYSTEM COMPRISING THE SAME
A male fluid connector, a female fluid connector, and a connection system comprising the connectors. The connection system comprises a male connector and a female connector that both are modified such that they cannot be engaged. The connection system removes the risk of unintentional connection of the two modified connectors not intended to be connected but still allows connection of the two modified connectors to other non-modified connectors.
