Syringe with enteral connection feature
A syringe having barrel and a non-luer tip that is not connectable to an intravenous device is disclosed. The syringe as an enteral collar engagement feature adjacent the distal end of the syringe barrel. The syringe has an enteral collar having a distal end and proximal end, the proximal end having a syringe engagement feature complementary to and engagable with the enteral collar engagement feature. The enteral collar is sized to permit connection to an enteral device and prevent connection to a device having a luer connector
Connector unit for blood treatment machine to connect said blood treatment machine to an external container and blood treatment machine comprising said connector unit
A connector unit for a blood treatment machine connects the blood treatment machine to an external container. The connector unit includes a machine-side line which is designed for being fluid-connected to the blood treatment machine, a container-side line which is designed for being fluid-connected to the container, and an attachment tightly connected to the machine-side line and to the container-side line which is designed for being detachably mounted on a connecting nozzle of the external container so as to fluid-connect the external container to the blood treatment machine. The connector unit can be included on a blood treatment machine.
Collar connector
In various embodiments, a connector system may include at least two connectors and a collar configured to detachably align the at least two connectors for coupling to a mating collar with at least two mating connectors. The collar may also be configured to at least partially disengage from the at least two connectors to allow movement of the connectors relative to each other. The relative movement may allow the connectors to couple to mating connectors that are in different configurations (than the mating collar configurations). In some embodiments, the connectors and/or mating connectors may include complementary male/female connectors. In some embodiments, the collar/mating collar may circumscribe their respective connectors and/or a perimeter of the other of the collar/mating collar. In some embodiments, the collar/mating collar may include interfacing features.

A method and apparatus for a connection interface between a reservoir or syringe, infusion set tubing, and an infusion pump is provided. The reservoir, a base and a cap are connected to form an integrated unit that is capable of being inserted and secured in an infusion pump housing. The cap and the infusion pump are each provided with at least one sensor or at least one detectable feature, arranged to interact with at least one corresponding detectable feature or sensor on the other of the cap and infusion pump device, to detect one or more of the presence, position or other characteristic of the cap when the cap is aligned or coupled with the infusion pump housing. The detectable feature and sensor may be magnetic, RF, mechanical, optical or any combination.
AN IMPROVED FLUID LINE CONNECTOR DEVICE
A cap for a fluid line connector having a male luer lock fitting, the cap having a first side and a second side opposite the first side, the cap comprising a barrier and a stopper extending axially from the barrier towards the first side of the cap. The barrier defines a keyway centred on a longitudinal axis. The shape of the keyway is configured to permit a correspondingly-shaped female luer lock fitting to pass axially therethrough to engage the male luer lock fitting of the fluid line connector. The stopper is configured to prevent rotation of the correspondingly-shaped female luer lock fitting in the first circumferential direction when a lug of the correspondingly-shaped female luer lock fitting is circumferentially aligned with the stopper.
IV SPIKE FOR USE WITH NON-ISO COMPLIANT IV CONTAINER
An intravenous (IV) spike for administering a medicinal fluid from a container includes an elongate body having an upper portion and a lower portion, and a plurality of screw threads disposed along and protruding radially outward from an outer surface of the lower portion of the elongate body. The elongate body is configured to be coupled to a drip chamber. The outer surface is configured to engage an internal surface of an outlet port of the container in a coupled configuration. In the coupled configuration edges of the screw threads grip and engage the internal surface of the outlet port of the container to create a seal between the lower portion of the elongate body and the outlet port of the container and to retain the body in the outlet port.
Port connector for medical waste fluid receptacles and methods of use
Aspects of the present disclosure include a connector that is suitable for connecting medical suction tubing with at least two different types of fluid ports of a medical fluid collection system. In certain aspects, the connector includes a generally cylindrical body portion having a cylindrical outer surface extending generally parallel to a central longitudinal axis of the body portion, and an inner surface defining a primary conduit extending through the connector. At least one lateral closure wall extends radially outward from the outer surface of the body portion. At least one annular skirt wall extends longitudinally from the at least one lateral closure wall, including a first annular skirt wall that serves to receive an open mouth of a first fluid port having a relatively small diameter, and a second annular skirt wall that serves to receive an open mouth of a second fluid port having a relatively larger diameter.
Enteral adaptor couplings
An enteral adapter coupling for connecting non-ENFit threaded enteral equipment with ISO 80369-3 compliant and compatible enteral equipment. The adapter coupling includes a first end substantially corresponding to an ISO 80369-3 coupling format, a second end substantially conforming to a threaded enteral feeding coupling format, and an internal lumen extending through the coupling allowing fluid communication between the first end and the second end.
Filling fitting
A fitting has a first end conventional connector and a second end non-conventional connector of a given configuration that is matable only to a counterpart non-conventional connector having a configuration complementary to the given configuration. The body of the fitting has two extending wings that merge with a partition that separates the conventional connector from the body. A label may be mounted about the neck extension of the male connector to convey information to the user. The portion along the fitting between the label and the partition provides a location whereat the user can position his fingers to grasp the fitting. The partition prevents the fingers of the user from coming into contact with and contaminating the conventional connector, while the label, in addition to conveying information to the user, also acts a barrier to prevent contamination of the non-conventional connector by the fingers of the user.
Adapter for medical connectors
An adapter for making a fluid connection between first and second medical fluid flow components, where the first component includes a first male or female Luer connector of a first configuration, and the component includes a second male female Luer connector of a second configuration, that is not compatible with the first configuration, includes a fluid flow conduit with a first adapter connector at a first end of the conduit and a second adapter connector at a second end of the conduit. The conduit includes a fluid flow lumen extending between the first and second ends. The first adapter connector is a male or female Luer having a first configuration that is compatible with the first medical fluid flow component connector. The second adapter connector is a male or female Luer having a second configuration that is compatible with the second medical fluid flow component connector.
