ROLLING SHUTTER SYSTEM AND COMPONENT PARTS
A main slat for a roller shutter system is provided. The slat includes a slat body having a first and second end, a hook end connected to the first end of the slat body, a screw boss connected to the second end of the slat body, and a receiving end connected to the screw boss. The hook end and the receiving end are each shaped such that the hook end is laterally insertable into the receiving end of an adjacent main slat and when so inserted forms a hinge. The slat body has a central cross section including at least first and second portions, the first and second portions each having a different radius of curvature.
SLAT ASSEMBLY FOR ROLLER SHUTTER, ROLLER SHUTTER, AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURE THEREOF
A slat assembly may include a slat having a first and second receiving portion. The first and second receiving portions being a pair of bent portions forming an acute angle. The slat assembly may further include an insulation layer lined on the slat. The slat assembly may further include a retaining mechanism disposed on the insulation layer to press a first portion of the insulation layer into the first receiving portion of the slat and to press a second portion of the insulation layer into the second receiving portion of the slat such that the retaining mechanism may cooperate with the first and second receiving portions to hold the insulation layer between the retaining mechanism and the slat without puncturing or penetrating the insulation layer with fasteners. A roller shutter including the slat assembly. A method of manufacturing a slat assembly and a method of manufacturing a roller shutter.
Conveyor belt for use within a toaster appliance for preventing the pinching of food buns
A conveyor belt for conveying articles along a conveyor path comprises a plurality of slat members disposed parallel to each other and disposed transversely with respect to the conveyor path, wherein leading and trailing edge portions of the slat members are angled downwardly with respect to the conveying surface upon which articles being conveyed are supported so as to prevent edge portions of the articles being conveyed from being interposed between the leading and trailing edge portions of the slat members so as not to be pinched by adjacent ones of the leading and trailing edge portions of adjacent slat members.
ROLLING SHUTTER LOCK BAR SLAT
A locking system for a rolling shutter comprises a housing, a body, and a lock bar. The housing has a longitudinal housing channel. The body has a body channel, and is positioned in and moveable transversely within the housing channel. The lock bar is positioned within the body channel, and is moveable longitudinally to the body and housing between a locked position extending away from the body and an unlocked position retracted toward the body. The movement of the body within the housing channel is coupled to the movement of the lock bar between the locked and unlocked positions.
Maintenance-free rolling door vacuum slat
A maintenance-free rolling door vacuum slat includes an elongate tubular member forming a cavity with a substantially uniform cross-sectional configuration along its length and forming first and second opposing ends conforming to the cross-sectional configuration. A first cap seals the first end. A second cap seals the second end, a vacuum being formed within the cavity. The first and second caps are joined to the elongate member to form a hermetic seals to render the slat airtight forming a permanent vacuum insulation barrier that requires no maintenance to restore the vacuum within the cavity.
Roller shutter
A roller shutter includes a chamber with an opening, a roller curtain movable between being fully contained within the chamber and extended beyond the chamber through the opening, and at least one guide rail along and relative to which the roller curtain is movable between being retracted and extended, wherein the roller curtain includes a plurality of slat members interlocked with each other for relative pivotal movement, the plurality of slat members collectively forming first and second major surfaces, and a first layer of fire-resistant and/or heat-resistant fabric fixedly mounted to the first major surface of the slat members and a second layer of fire-resistant and/or heat-resistant fabric fixedly mounted to the second major surface of the slat members, and wherein the guide rail includes at least a first sealing member which, when the roller curtain is extended, contacts or presses into the first layer of fire-resistant and/or heat-resistant fabric.
Roller shutter
A roller shutter comprising a shutter moveable between a retracted position and an extended position is described. The shutter comprises one or more laths wherein the one or more laths comprise first and second surfaces mechanically connected by first and second sides and one or more internal supports. The one or more internal supports are configured to collapse preferentially with respect to the first and second sides. The presence of the one or more internal supports provides the laths with increased mechanical strength. However, by configuring the internal supports to collapse preferentially with respect to the first and second sides provides a means for absorbing and dissipating this force through the shutter. The roller shutter finds particular application as a horizontal shutter within heavy industry environments.
UNITARY EXTRUDED SHELL FOR ASSEMBLING NON-INSULATED AND INSULATED SLATS FOR ROLLING DOORS AND METHOD OF FORMING SAME
An elongate shell for forming a slat for a rolling door includes a planar portion having parallel first and second longitudinal edges and formed along the first longitudinal edge with a first arcuate segment and formed along an opposing second longitudinal edge with second arcuate segment, the first and second arcuate segments being positioned on the same side of said planar portion and configured and dimensioned to enable the second arcuate segment of a first shell to be received with clearance within a first arcuate segment of second shell identical to the first shell to form an articulated joint hingedly connecting the elongate shells so they can be pivoted relative to each other. Two identical shells can be oriented to be assembled to form a double-walled slat with longitudinal hooks or claws for assembling a plurality of slats, with or without insulation, into a curtain assembly for a rolling door.
METHOD OF FORMING A MAINTENANCE-FREE ROLLING DOOR VACUUM SLAT
A method of forming maintenance-free rolling door vacuum slats includes an elongate tubular member forming a cavity with a substantially uniform cross-sectional configuration along its length and forming first and second opposing ends conforming to the cross-sectional configuration.
ROLLING SHUTTER SLAT
A slat for a rolling shutter is provided that is formed as a single walled, continuous bent sheet. The slat includes a body having a hook-shaped engaging track at a first end, and a receiving track at the second end comprising a guard member and a hook-shaped lip member that form a pocket for receiving the engaging track of another slat. The guard member includes a portion of the sheet that is bent over on itself. The lip member extends from the guard member, and is spaced apart from the guard member to define an aperture that is sized and shaped to receive the engaging track of the other slat.
