SEALING DEVICE FOR SEALING A GAP BETWEEN A LINTEL AND A ROLLER SHUTTER AND A ROLLER SHUTTER WITH SUCH A SEALING DEVICE
20170152705 · 2017-06-01 · ·

The invention relates to a sealing device (11, 35, 41) for sealing a gap (32) between a lintel (30) and a roller shutter (10, 34, 40). The sealing device (11, 35, 41) has a sealing means (23) for arranging at the upper end of a top shutter element (24) of the roller shutter (10, 34, 40). For covering a gap (32) in a functional and/or cost-effective way between a lintel (30) and a roller shutter (10, 34, 40), preferably in case of a completely unrolled door blade (12), the sealing device (11, 35, 41) is characterized in that a swivel mechanism (25, 37, 43) is provided for swivelling the sealing means (23) from a sealing position into a winding position and from a winding position into a sealing position.

In accordance with various embodiments, there is provided an interlocking rolling sheet door and a method for assembling the interlocking rolling sheet door. In accordance with at least one embodiment, the interlocking rolling sheet door includes at least one curtain panel. Each curtain panel includes a first curl on a lateral end and a second curl on an opposing lateral end. One of the first curl and the second curl is an interior curl portion, and the other of the first curl and the second curl is an exterior curl portion. The first curl of one curtain panel is configured to rotationally engage an inner portion of the second curl of an adjacent curtain panel, whereby the first curl rotationally engaging the second curl until a distal end of the first curl fouls out against an inner surface of the second curl. The first curl and the second curl are configured to rotationally engage one another to form an interlocking mechanism between adjacent curtain panels to form the interlocking rolling sheet door.

Universal endlock-windlock

In example implementations, a windlock is provided. The windlock includes a body, a windlock lip, and a gusset. The body includes holes to receive a fastener to be coupled to a slat of a roll-up door. The windlock lip is formed from a portion of the body that is bent from the body. The gusset is coupled to the body and the windlock to provide mechanical strength to the windlock lip.

Method of forming a maintenance-free rolling door vacuum slat

A method of forming maintenance-free rolling door vacuum slats includes an elongate tubular member forming a cavity with a substantially uniform cross-sectional configuration along its length and forming first and second opposing ends conforming to the cross-sectional configuration. A first cap seals the first end. A second cap seals the second end, a vacuum being formed within the cavity. The first and second caps are joined to the elongate member to form a hermetic seals to render the slat airtight forming a permanent vacuum insulation barrier that requires no maintenance to restore the vacuum within the cavity.

Rolling shutter slat

A slat for a rolling shutter is provided that is formed as a single walled, continuous bent sheet. The slat includes a body having a hook-shaped engaging track at a first end, and a receiving track at the second end comprising a guard member and a hook-shaped lip member that form a pocket for receiving the engaging track of another slat. The guard member includes a portion of the sheet that is bent over on itself. The lip member extends from the guard member, and is spaced apart from the guard member to define an aperture that is sized and shaped to receive the engaging track of the other slat.

SPACER PANEL ASSEMBLY FOR ROLLER SHUTTERS

The roller shutter assembly is formed by a plurality of panels slidably received in a plurality of spacers all in an alternating fashion to form an elongate covering movable between a rolled and unrolled position. A connector extends between a connecting end of elongate covering, opposite a locking end, to connect to a rotatable shaft such that rotation of the shaft in one direction lifts the covering into a rolled position, and rotation of the shaft in the opposite direction drops the elongate covering into an unrolled position.

The panels increase in width from the connecting end to the locking end, such that in the rolled position, the spacers nest together to stack and space apart the panels thereby limiting panel interaction. In the rolled position, the spacers nest together in layers with the intermediate panel possessing an intermediate width relative to adjacent panels to connect adjacent layers.

A slat for use in a roller shutter has an elongated body. The elongated body has an upper engaging arrangement in an upper portion thereof, and, a lower engaging arrangement in a lower portion thereof. The body is provided with at least one chamber having at least one bar. The at least one bar of a given slat has a vertical overlap with the at least one bar of the slat that is engaged with the given slat and upwardly therefrom. When the slat has a first bar within an upper chamber and a second bar within a lower chamber, the first bar overlaps with the second bar in a lengthwise direction along an internal overlap.
