An intermittent, injection port assembly includes a flexible valve member of the type which is laterally deflected when moved from a closed position to an open position. A high flow non-tortuous flow passage is provided through the injection port assembly by a plurality of lateral passages bypassing a base which supports the flexible valve member.

Apparatus and method for connecting elements in medical devices

A connection device for a deflectable medical device, such as a catheter, comprises an elongate planarity wire having a proximal end and a distal end, an elongate activation wire having a proximal end a distal end, a passage and an interface. The passage extends through the planarity wire near the distal end of the planarity wire. The distal end of the activation wire extends through the passage. The interface is between the passage and the activation wire, and may comprise one or more of the following: a hook and bore interface, a detent interface, a mechanical interface, or a metallurgical interface.

INSUFFLATOR, CONNECTOR FOR INSUFFLATOR, AND INSUFFLATION APPARATUS

A connector includes a first port, a second port, a first sealing member and a second sealing member. The first port and the first pipe sleeve portion are connected with each other such that at least a part of the first port and at least a part of the first pipe sleeve portion engage with each other by fitting and overlap with each other, and a first sealing member is positioned between two overlapping portions. The second port and the second pipe sleeve portion are connected with each other such that at least a part of the second port and at least a part of the second pipe sleeve portion engage with each other by fitting and push each other, and a second sealing member is positioned between two pushing portions.

INJECTION OR INFUSION DEVICE COMPRISING AN IMPROVED RELEASE LINER

An injection device configured for attachment to the skin of a patient using an adhesive layer includes a release liner covering the adhesive layer thereby preventing skin attachment. The release liner comprises a sheet of material where a first surface contacts the adhesive layer, and an aperture defining a passage for a film connected to a first sterile barrier film located within the injection device. An end of the film is connected to a second surface of the sheet of material that is opposite to the first surface, and the release liner is covered by a strengthening sheet connected to the second surface and covering the aperture and the end of the film.

INJECTION OR INFUSION DEVICE COMPRISING AN IMPROVED HOUSING AND RELEASE LINER FOR REMOVING STERILE BARRIER FILMS USING THE RELEASE LINER

An injection device configured for attachment to the skin of a patient includes a housing and a skin adhesive layer attached to an external surface of the housing for attaching the injection device to the skin of a patient. A release liner covering the skin adhesive layer prevents the injection device from attaching to the skin. A film with one end connected to a surface inside of the housing forms a removable sterile barrier and the other end connected to an external surface of the release liner without contacting the skin adhesive layer. The housing, skin adhesive layer and release liner each include a notch defining a passage for the film so that the second end of the film can extend from the interior to the exterior of the housing.

INFUSION SET FOR A FLUID PUMP
20200360602 · 2020-11-19 ·

A medical device for delivery of a fluid to a patient from a line terminating in a tubing needle. The medical device includes a cannula assembly for coupling the fluid into a cannula that is inserted into the patient. The cannula assembly has a first locking element disposed in a fixed position with respect to the cannula. Coupling the line to the cannula assembly is an infusion flap. The infusion flap includes a second locking element for engaging the first locking element of the cannula assembly and a lift tab for disconnecting the infusion flap from the cannula assembly. Coupling of the first and second locking elements requires initial mating of the infusion flap and cannula assembly followed by locking through rotation of the infusion flap with respect to the cannula assembly.
