Operator compartment for a rail vehicle, assembly device for a track camera, and front window roll-up sun shield of a rail vehicle

An operator compartment of a rail vehicle includes two front windows separated by a connection beam, a track monitoring camera attached in a lower region of the connection beam by a fastening device, and a front window roll-up sun shield which can be drawn in the interior of the operator compartment and has guides running along both sides of the front windows. The guides have lower retaining devices. In order to allow a comparably simple attachment of the roll-up sun shield and the track monitoring camera in the operator compartment, a longitudinal member is attached to a lower region of the connection beam. The longitudinal member retains the fastening device, has mutually opposite guides and has the lower retaining devices for the roll-up sun shield. An assembly device for a track camera and a front window roll-up sun shield of a rail vehicle is also provided.

A latching apparatus is disclosed. A latching frame has at least one end portion that includes a guiding edge. At least one latching member has a curved part and a guiding edge located at an outer end of the curved part, and is coupled at a pivot to the end portion such that the guiding edge and the curved part of the latching member face the guiding edge of the end portion. The curved part of the latching member and the guiding edge of the end portion form an opening. At least one spring is coupled at one end to the latching member such that the spring exerts a force that drives the curved part of the latching member about the pivot toward the guiding edge of the end portion. The guiding edge of the latching member is configured to guide an external mounting pin toward the opening in response to the mounting pin being pushed against the guiding edge of the latching member whereby the mounting pin initially causes the latching member to pivot away from the end portion until the mounting pin slides past the guiding edge of the latching member and is secured between the curved part of the latching member and the guiding edge of the end portion by the force exerted by the spring.

Systems and methods are described herein for a smart rail with integrated sensors, microcontroller, solar panel and battery to create a dynamic shading system that is self-sufficient, and fault tolerant. In most motorized window coverings, the rechargeable motor resides in the top rail bar so that the smart rail requires a docking mechanism to charge the rechargeable motorfor the sake of this patent, this will be referred to as a distributed smart rail motor system. In other window coverings, such as certain cellular shades and horizontal blinds, it is feasible to further integrate the rechargeable motor into the smart rail for a completely integrated solutionfor tan sake of this patent, this will be referred to as an integrated smart rail motor system. A system and method are also disclosed herein for cutting fabric in-place on an adjustable shade roller.
