Telescoping ladder with a cascading collapse mechanism
A telescoping ladder is provided, that includes a plurality of columns disposed in a nested arrangement for relative axial movement in a telescopic fashion between a fully-extended position and a collapsed position. The columns are connected to rungs by way of connector assemblies. Each connector assembly has a locking pin moveable between an extended position or a retracted position for extending into or retracting out of openings of adjacent columns to selectively lock or release the columns respectively. The telescoping ladder includes a plurality of actuators that permit collapsing the ladder in a sequential manner, the sequence involving collapsing the columns on a lower portion of the ladder prior to collapsing columns immediately thereabove.
Ladder tube for a collapsible ladder
A ladder tube (10, 12) for use in a ladder section of a collapsible ladder (1) is provided. The collapsible ladder comprises several ladder sections (5, 5a-5j), where each ladder section comprises two ladder tubes (10, 12) arranged parallel to each other and interconnected by a rung (20) to form the respective ladder section, and where each ladder tube (10, 12) is telescopically inserted into a ladder tube (10, 12) of a lower section to form the collapsible ladder (1). The ladder tube (10, 12) is characterized in that it has a cross-sectional shape comprising at least one straight section (16) which at each end is connected at an angle larger than 90 degrees to at least one additional section (18) of the cross-sectional shape.
Closure cover and extension ladder
A closure cover and an extension ladder are provided. The closure cover includes an upper closure plate, a lower closure plate, and two airtight sheets, the upper closure plate and the lower closure plate are fixedly connected by a connector, the upper closure plate and the lower closure plate are each provided with ventilation holes, the airtight sheets are fixed to a surface of the upper closure plate facing away from the lower closure plate and a surface of the lower closure plate facing away from the upper closure plate, respectively, and the airtight sheets are capable of controlling the closing and opening of the ventilation holes.
LADDER SAFETY HANDRAIL
A set of detachable base ladder safety handrails comprising: a pair of tubular cross-section handrails, wherein said handrails are made of metal, preferably aluminum, wherein one handrail is situated approximately one to a few inches away from the distal edge of one of the two ladder side rails, wherein a second handrail is situated approximately one to a few inches away from the distal edge of the second ladder side rail, wherein said pair of handrails are on or substantially on the same plane which ladder side rails and rungs connecting said ladder side rails lie, wherein said pair of handrails are parallel to each other and said ladder side rails, wherein a plurality of removable clamps is attached to each of said ladder side rails, wherein each of the said handrails is coupled to said plurality of removable clamps by a plurality of clamp-to-handrail links, wherein each clamp-to-handrail link is securely bonded, welded, or fastened to said clamp on one end and nearest handrail on said link's opposite end, wherein said clamp-to-handrail links are made of a solid circular, tubular, or thin shell cross-section and are preferably made from aluminum, wherein at least two clamps are attached to each ladder side rail and at least one clamp is attached near each of the two ends of said ladder side rail, wherein the surface of said handrails have a durable and high grip topology, preferably knurled.
Telescopic ladder with retractable stabiliser bars
A collapsible ladder (10) is disclosed having rungs secured to telescopically collapsible stile sections and at least one stabiliser bar secured to the foot of the ladder, the (or each) stabiliser bar (12a, 12b) being displaceable between a storage position in which the bar lies, at least predominantly, between the two stiles and a deployed position in which the bar widens the footprint of the ladder to improve the lateral stability of the ladder. A rod (20) is connected to extend downwardly from the uppermost stile section of the ladder and a catch mechanism (30) is provided at the foot of the ladder to engage the lower end of the rod to prevent the ladder from being extended. The catch mechanism (30) is operable by the (or a) stabiliser bar to release the rod and permit the ladder to be extended only when the stabiliser bar is in the deployed position.
MAINTENANCE CART WITH AIR FILTRATION
A maintenance/construction cart that facilitates wall and ceiling access while isolating the interior of the cart from the surrounding environment. The cart is configured such that its height can be easily adjusted by an operator to provide access to ceilings of different heights while maintaining the seal between the interior of the cart and the surrounding environment while structurally supporting a ladder leaning against a surface of the cart. In some embodiments, the cart includes an air filtration unit.
Extendable / retractable ladder
An extendable/retractable ladder assembly includes a first stile and a second stile and a plurality of rungs extending therebetween. Each stile may comprise a plurality of columns disposed in a nested arrangement for relative axial movement in a telescopic fashion. A connector assembly connects the rungs to respective columns in the first and second stiles. The ladder has improved manufacturability since connector assemblies may be assembled before connecting the rungs to respective columns. The standing surface of the rungs may be angled such that it is rotated towards horizontal when the ladder assembly is leaned against a wall. A latch assembly may be used to selectively lock relative axial movement between adjacent columns. The latch assembly includes a locking pin assembly comprised of a central post and an outer metal sleeve. An air damper may also be used to control airflow through the columns.
Foldable ladder
A foldable ladder has a first ladder portion and a second ladder portion hingedly attached to the first ladder portion by a pair of hinge mechanisms. Each hinge mechanism adapted to lock the first and second ladder portions such that the first ladder portion and the second ladder portion form an angle therebetween. The hinge mechanism has a locking pin to lock the first and second ladder portions at an angular position. Each rung is connected to a column by a connector assembly having first and second release buttons.
