REUSABLE FIELD-ATTACHABLE WELLHEAD PENETRATOR AND METHOD OF ASSEMBLY AND USE
The plug in, re-useable field-attachable wellhead penetrator provides an economic means of attachment of continuous electrical conductors through a wellhead. A rubber seal and non-ferromagnetic guide are retained on the upper end of the mandrel allowing the conductors extending there through to be connected to electrical sockets then inserted in an insulating block. Epoxy can be used within the mandrel and is easily removed because the inner diameter of the mandrel is coated with tetrafluoroethylene or other slick coatings.
Subsea system and methodology utilizing production receptacle structure
A technique facilitates deployment of equipment, e.g. an electric submersible pumping system, in a subsea production operation. According to an embodiment, a subsea tree assembly, e.g. a horizontal subsea tree assembly, comprises a spool body housing having a channel extending therethrough. A production receptacle structure is secured within the channel and provides a reduced internal profile for securing wellbore equipment. For example, the internal profile may be constructed to sealably receive a cable hanger used to support power cable by which an electric submersible pumping system may be suspended. The production receptacle structure also may be equipped with a production stab for interfacing with a tubing hanger located below the production receptacle structure.
HIGH VOLTAGE SUBSEA CONNECTION ASSEMBLY
High voltage, subsea connection assembly having a male part (101) comprising a male housing (103) with a liquid chamber (110), and a male housing aperture (107). A male pin (106) is positioned within the male housing aperture. A female part (1) has a female housing (5) with a liquid chamber (10) with a dielectric liquid, and a male pin receiving aperture (7). The male pin is axially movable into and out of the female housing (5). An aperture channel (8) has a rear section (12), the radial inwardly directed face of which together with an outer radial face of the male pin (106) defines a flushing gap (14) when the male pin (106) is positioned in the rear section (12). An exit channel (16) is arranged in the aperture channel, between the rear section, and the male pin receiving aperture or the male housing aperture.
Tubing Hanger System
A hanger system for a well includes a pipe spool and a tubing hanger removably coupled to the pipe spool. The pipe spool includes a spool housing defining a cylindrical spool bore extending longitudinally through the spool housing, an electrical port in the spool housing with an electrical port opening in an inner surface of the spool housing, a communication port in the spool housing with a communication port opening in the inner surface of the spool housing, and a control port in the spool housing having a control port opening in the inner surface of the spool housing. The communication port connects to a communication module, the control port connects to a control fluid supply, and the electrical port connects to a power supply. The tubing hanger includes a hanger housing, and an electrical conduit, communication conduit, and control conduit extending through the hanger housing.
Coiled tubing connector to electrical submersible pump
A connector secures an ESP to coiled tubing containing a power cable. Upper and lower barriers in the connector housing define an upper chamber, a lower chamber, and a center chamber. An upper chamber dielectric fluid in the upper chamber is in fluid communication with the interior of the coiled tubing. A lower chamber dielectric fluid in the lower chamber is in fluid communication with motor lubricant in the motor of the ESP. Center chamber dielectric fluid in the center chamber is sealed from contact with the upper and lower chamber dielectric fluids by the upper and lower barriers. A thermal expansion device has a container portion for allowing center chamber dielectric fluid to expand into the container.
Submersible pump cable connector assembly
A field attachable submersible pump cable connector assembly for an electrical connection in a well head, allowing for direct connector assembly to the ESP cable eliminating the cable to cable splice. The connector assembly permits the use of standard crimping pliers to crimp the ends of a heavy gauge multi-conductor cables typically used for electric submersible pump (ESP) cables to the power pin for connection to an electrical power source external to the well head. The connector assembly protects the crimped connection from contaminants and the corrosive environment within the well head.
Connection assembly, sensor assembly and subsea cable harness
A connection assembly includes an adapter to be mounted to a rear part of a subsea sensor, a sensor port being located in the adapter, through which at least a first and a second sensor connection are led to the subsea sensor; a first port for providing a connection to a first of the subsea cables; and a second port for providing a connection to a second of the subsea cables. A first penetrator is arranged in the first port to provide a liquid tight seal between an interior space of the adapter and a duct connected to the first port leading the first sensor connection through the first port, and a second penetrator is arranged in the second port providing a liquid tight seal between the interior space of the adapter and a duct connected to the second port and leading the second sensor connection through the second port.
MODULAR VERTICAL WET CHRISTMAS TREE, INSTALLATION METHOD AND INTERVENTION METHOD THEREOF
A wet Christmas tree (WCT) is segmented into a lower safety module containing safety valves and an upper multifunctional module for controlling the flow and/or pumping and/or subsea processing. The WCT can be applied to completion systems using completion mode with tubing heads or directly on the wellhead. The modular WCT can be used in oil and gas production well applications or injection of water and/or gases in subsea fields in shallow water to deep water.
Modular electrical feedthrough
The present invention provides a modular electrical feedthrough system for use in offshore and top-side electrical submersible pump (ESP) installations. A modular electrical connection system includes a stab receptacle assembly for mating with a stab plug assembly and a compliance mount. The stab plug assembly includes stab plugs and guide funnels adapted to guide the stab receptacles into a mating position with the stab plugs. The compliance mount compensates for physical misalignment between stab receptacles and stab plugs. A tubing hanger assembly forms a pressure barrier at a production bore by use of a tubing hanger penetrator assembly including a set of seals to isolate the electrical penetrator from the production bore. A secondary penetrator assembly provides a redundant pressure barrier for increased safety and system reliability.
Subsea tree override tool apparatus and method
The present disclosure relates to subsea tool apparatus and methods, particularly but not exclusively tool apparatus and methods relating to subsea trees or so-called Christmas trees. The subsea tool is for reinstating the functionality of a subsea tree valve actuator, by applying a thrust force to the subsea tree valve actuator stem, characterised in that: the tool gets its power supply to provide load on the actuator stem, directly or indirectly from the subsea tree SCM (subsea control module) supply.
