PLUGGING ASSEMBLIES FOR PLUGGING CASED WELLBORES
A toolstring for plugging and perforating a wellbore includes a perforating gun extending between an uphole end and a downhole end longitudinally opposed to the uphole end, a plugging assembly extending between an uphole end and a downhole end longitudinally opposed to the uphole end of the plugging assembly, the plug assembly including a setting tool physically attached directly to the perforating gun, the setting tool including an elongate housing extending between an uphole end and a downhole end opposite the uphole end of the housing, an open passageway extending from the uphole end to the downhole end of the housing, and wherein the setting tool further includes an elongate mandrel positioned in the open passageway and having an uphole end and a downhole end opposite the uphole end of the mandrel, and a combustion chamber located within the elongate housing for receiving an energetic charge.
Wellbore completion apparatus
A wellbore completion apparatus includes an engager having an engageable surface configured for becoming engaged to a surface of the wellbore is disclosed. The apparatus is configurable in an engagement-ready state and an engagement state. Actuation of the apparatus such that it transitions from the engagement-ready state to the engagement state is with effect that the engageable surface becomes engaged to the wellbore surface. In the engagement-ready state, the engager can include a first free end and a second free end, and the transitioning to the engagement steady is effected in response to relative displacement between the first and second free ends. In the engagement state, the engager can be configured in a loop configuration.
High expansion anchoring system
A slip assembly includes a first support cone configured to move a first extension ramp between retracted and extended positions. The first extension ramp is biased towards the retracted position by a first biasing member. The slip assembly further includes a second support cone configured to move a second extension ramp between retracted and extended positions. The second extension ramp is biased towards the retracted position by a second biasing member. The slip assembly further includes a slip member disposed between the first extension ramp and the second extension ramp. The slip member is configured to slide between retracted and extended positions along an outer surface of the first extension ramp and along an outer surface of the second extension ramp. A shank of the slip member is held in a cage by a retainer that moves radially when the slip member moves between the retracted and extended positions.
Method and apparatus for providing a plug with a deformable expandable continuous ring creating a fluid barrier
A plug assembly includes an expandable assembly and a locking ring. The expandable assembly is adapted to be deformed radially over the locking ring. The plug assembly is used with an untethered object, which is adapted to contact an inside surface of the plug assembly and, using well fluid pressure, to apply forces to the plug assembly. The forces cause further radial deformation of the expandable assembly, and penetration of an internal surface of the tubing string at least at one point with a gripping portion of the expandable assembly.
LOAD ANCHOR WITH SEALING
A technique facilitates anchoring between tubular structures in various well applications. The technique may utilize a load anchor having a radially expandable mandrel with an interior passage. Circumferential biasing members are mounted around the mandrel and each circumferential biasing member has a biasing surface. Additionally, a gripper system is positioned axially between the circumferential biasing members. The gripper system is configured such that engagement with the biasing surface of either circumferential biasing member causes radially outward biasing of the gripper system upon movement of the mandrel in either axial direction. A sealing element also may be disposed about the mandrel. The configuration of the gripper system and the circumferential biasing members protects the sealing element against undue axial movement once the load anchor is radially expanded into engagement with a surrounding surface.

Bridge plug with multiple sealing elements
Included are bridge plugs and methods and systems for the use and deployment of the bridge plugs. An example bridge plug comprises a first sealing element, a second sealing element, and a spacer; wherein the spacer is disposed between the first sealing element and the second sealing element; wherein the first sealing element and the second sealing element are not adjacent to one another.
Collapsible and retrievable setting apparatus and method of use
A retrievable setting tool includes a collapsible expansion punch formed by sections. Each section includes an external surface that forms a portion of an expansion face of the collapsible expansion punch. Some sections are capable of sliding relative to other sections. As such, the overall shape of the expansion face may be continuous or discontinuous. The retrievable setting tool could be inside a wellbore to set an expandable member, such as a plug assembly, a patch, a liner hanger, or a packer.
High strength connection for composite sleeve and composite mandrel and related methods
A composite downhole tool, such as a frac plug or a bridge plug, having a composite sleeve located around a composite mandrel and defining an overlapping or overlapped section between the two. One or more shear pins with each shear pin having a pin hole is provided with the downhole tool to reinforce the downhole tool from interlaminate shear. The one or more shear pins can further be reinforced from rotation by overlapping at least part of the one or more pins with a lip of a ring.
3D printed barrel slip
A 3D printed barrel slip that includes a radially expandable barrel slip body that is movable from an unexpanded position to an expanded position; wherein the body has an outer surface that, when in the unexpanded position, defines a first radius; wherein the first radius is associated with a first curvature; and wherein, when in the expanded position, portion(s) of the outer surface has a second curvature that is less than the first radius. The body is an integrally formed single-component body that defines an external surface; and an internal chamber isolated from the external surface. The internal chambers affect the strength of portions of the body to control the timing of deployment of the barrel slip.
