Coupler for coupling an attachment to a dipper arm
A quick hitch coupler for coupling an attachment to a dipper arm of an excavator, the quick hitch coupler comprising: (a) a body member adapted for coupling to the dipper arm, (b) a fixed engaging jaw mounted on the body member for engaging a first one of a pair of coupling pins mounted on the attachment, (c) a movable engaging jaw mounted on the body member for engaging a second one of the pair of coupling pins of the attachment, the movable engaging jaw being movable between an engaged state with the movable engaging jaw engaging the second coupling pin while the fixed engaging jaw engages the first coupling pin for coupling the attachment to the coupler, and a disengaged state for disengaging the second coupling pin, (d) a latch co-operable with the fixed engaging jaw for retaining the first coupling pin of the attachment engaged in the fixed engaging jaw the latch being alternately operable in a latched state co-operating with the fixed engaging jaw for retaining the first coupling pin in the fixed engaging jaw, and an unlatched state for releasing the first coupling pin from the fixed engaging jaw, (e) an urging means for urging the latch into the latched state, (f) a release block being movable on (and relative to) a guide, the release block being movable on the guide between a non-active position in which the latch remains in the latched state and an active position where the release block abuts against the latch to move the latch from the latched state to the unlatched state against the urging action of the urging means, (g) a drive means generating an amount of displacement: (i) for moving the movable engaging jaw from the engaged state to the disengaged state, and (ii) for moving the release block on the guide from the non-active position to the active position.
The drive means generates an amount of displacement for moving the movable engaging jaw but the release block is not moved and a second stage where the drive means generates an amount of displacement for moving the movable engaging jaw above a threshold amount where the release block is moved.
Attachment coupler
A coupler for releasably coupling an attachment to a heavy-equipment machine. The coupler comprises a frame, and a plurality of connection elements extending from the frame, with the connection elements configured to engage with the attachment. The coupler additionally comprises a locking pin configured to extend simultaneously through the frame and the attachment. The coupler further comprises a locking element configured to selectively engage with the locking pin to securely couple the coupler to the attachment. The coupler further comprises an actuator configured to shift the locking element between an unlocked position and a locked position.
QUICK COUPLER CIRCUIT AND QUICK COUPLER ATTACHMENT/DETACHMENT METHOD
A quick coupler circuit for attaching and detaching an attachment to a quick coupler includes a coupler cylinder, an actuator, a first hydraulic pump, a boosting valve, a coupler changeover valve, and a changeover switch. The boosting valve switches to a boosting position and the coupler changeover valve switches to a lock-side position when the changeover switch switches to a lock position. When the changeover switch switches to a hold position, the boosting valve switches to a non-boosting position and the coupler changeover valve switches to the lock-side position. When the changeover switch switches to an unlock position, the boosting valve switches to the boosting position and the coupler changeover valve switches to an unlock-side position.
Quick-change device
A quick-change device for changing attachments on a construction machine includes a support, first receptacles arranged on one side of the support for receiving a first coupling element, second receptacles arranged on the other side of the support for receiving a second coupling element, and a capturing device arranged on the support for capturing the attachment. In order to avoid damage to the support caused by improper strain on the capturing device, the capturing device has at least one capturing hook pivotably arranged on the support.
Safety coupling mechanism
An excavator tool attaching mechanism includes a housing having a pair of housing walls; a fixed engagement member for engaging with a first coupling pin of an excavator tool; a moveable engagement mechanism for engaging with a second coupling pin of the excavator tool; and a safety mechanism moveable between a locked and an unlocked configuration. The moveable engagement mechanism includes an engaging element moveable between a first position for releasing the excavator tool and a second position for engagement with the second coupling pin. The safety mechanism is automatically moved from the unlocked to the locked configuration by movement of the engaging element from the first to the second position, preventing movement of the engaging element between the second and first position. The engaging element is moveable to the second position when the moveable engagement mechanism engages with the second coupling pin.
Quick coupler with independent locking element and securing element
A quick coupler for coupling a tool such as an excavator bucket, a clamshell grapple or demolition shears to a tool operator such as an excavator arm or the like. The quick coupler including a coupling mount for receiving a first locking part and a locking mount for receiving a second locking part, wherein a locking element for locking the second locking part in the locking mount is at least associated with the locking mount, with the locking element being actuable by an adjustment actuator. The quick coupler can be electrically controllable, with the quick coupler having an electric drive for actuating the adjustment actuator for the locking element.
DOUBLE SAFETY DEVICE FOR QUICK COUPLER
The present invention relates to a double safety device for a quick coupler, which, in a coupling process of a quick coupler for connecting a heavy equipment attachment and an excavator, automatically prevents unintentional separation between an attachment pin and a fixed hook, and enables a locking device to be automatically operated in association with a cylinder operation for slidably moving a hitch and elastic force of first and second compression springs. The double safety device for a quick coupler according to the present invention comprises: a quick coupler body mounted to an end of an excavator arm and a push link; a fixed hook disposed on one side of the quick coupler body and coupled to a first attachment pin; a hitch disposed on the other side of the quick coupler body and engaged with or disengaged from a second attachment pin according to an operation of a hydraulic cylinder; and a locking means which is operated in association with a cylinder operation for operating the hitch, and prevents unintentional release of a coupling state between the fixed hook and the first attachment pin by compressive elastic force of first and second compression springs.
Coupler for earth moving or materials handling machine
A coupler is configured to couple an implement to an earth moving or materials handling machine. The coupler includes a locking member for locking a pin of an implement into a coupler in the recess. The locking member is driven by a hydraulic arrangement, with the hydraulic cylinder body being formed integrally with either the coupler body or the locking member. The coupler may be adapted to accommodate a range of implement pin spacings and/or diameters, so that the coupler can be used with different implements and in particular with different makes of implement.
ROBUST MULTI-TOOL ASSEMBLY FOR HYDRAULIC EXCAVATORS
A hydraulic excavator tool adapted to be secured to the distal working end of an excavator boom including a main tool assembly with a tool framework, a spaced apart pair of connection flanges fast with the tool framework, and, a structural tubular casing integral with the tool framework extending across and through the tool framework and through the flanges, plus a rotary hydraulic actuator within the tubular casing extending between the connection flanges and providing a rotational drive motion to a drive axle extending between the connection flanges adapted to provide a controlled rotary drive motion of the axle adjacent the connection flanges, and a working tool framework fast to the axle adjacent each of the connection flanges for relative controlled rotation of the working tool framework about the drive axle between the tool framework and a working position.
