CASSETTE FOR A FLOW CONTROL APPARATUS

A pump set for use with a pumping apparatus includes tubing for carrying a liquid. A valve mechanism is mounted to the tubing between an inlet section and a pump engagement section. The valve mechanism includes a first port connected to the inlet section of the tubing, a second port connected to the pump engagement section of the tubing, and a valve disposed between the first and second ports. The valve includes a stem rotatably mounted within a stem holder. The stem includes a flow passage extending through the stem and having an open V shape whereby a narrow open end of the flow passage communicates with the first port and a wide open end of the flow passage communicates with the second port to place the inlet section of the tubing in communication with the pump engagement section of the tubing.

SYSTEMS FOR WEARABLE INFUSION PORT AND ASSOCIATED PUMP

A pump for delivering a fluid includes a pump housing that defines at least one reservoir having a circumferentially open first end, a circumferentially closed second end and a chamber to receive the fluid. The pump includes a plunger assembly having at least one plunger arm and a cannula fluidly coupled to the plunger arm to dispense the fluid from the pump. The plunger arm is receivable within the first end of the reservoir, and the at least one plunger arm defining an internal conduit to receive the fluid from the at least one fluid reservoir. The internal conduit is fluidly coupled to the cannula. The plunger assembly is movable in a first direction relative to the pump housing to advance the plunger arm within the fluid reservoir to dispense the fluid from the fluid reservoir out of the pump via the cannula.

A bolus control device for use with an injection device, the bolus control device including a valve body having a proximal end opposite a distal end. The valve body defines a fluid channel therethrough to allow a passage of medical fluid from the proximal end to the distal end. A connector is provided at the proximal end and configured for connecting to a fluid inlet line. A connector subassembly is provided at the distal end and configured for connecting to a fluid outlet line. A compressible check valve is disposed within the fluid channel, such that the compressible check valve is adjustable to control a cracking pressure at which the compressible check valve closes.

APPARATUS FOR IRRIGATION WITH NEGATIVE PRESSURE

A system is described herein that can irrigate a tissue site using negative-pressure. The system may include a tissue interface configured to be placed adjacent to the tissue site, and a sealing member configured to be placed over the tissue interface to form a sealed space. The system may also include a negative-pressure source configured to be fluidly coupled to the sealed space and a fluid source. The system may further include an irrigation valve. The irrigation valve can have a fluid inlet configured to be fluidly coupled to the fluid source. The irrigation valve can also have a fluid outlet configured to be fluidly coupled to the sealed space. The irrigation valve may also include a clamp configured to be actuated by the negative-pressure source to regulate fluid flow from the fluid source through the fluid outlet.

Linearly actuated flow controller for intravenous (IV) fluid administration

Flow controllers for intravenous (IV) tubing are provided. A flow controller may include first and second structural members defining a cavity therebetween for a portion of the tubing, wherein the first structural member is linearly slidable along a length of the tubing to compress at least part of the portion of the tubing to control flow of a medical fluid through the tubing. A flow controller may include a first ramped wedge structure, a second ramped wedge structure configured to slide over the first ramped wedge structure to compress a portion of the IV tubing disposed between the first ramped wedge structure and the second ramped wedge structure, a yoke having a linear slot, a wheel having a pin that is radially separated form a center of the wheel and is slidably disposed in the linear slot, and a transfer structure coupled to the yoke and the first ramped wedge structure. IV sets that include a flow controller are also provided.
