The apparatus includes a travelling carriage assembly pivotably attached by a carriage pivot, about a rotational axis substantially parallel to a longitudinal axis of the apparatus. The carriage pivot is positioned lower than the center of gravity of the travelling carriage assembly.

The application relates to a robust self-propelled device, having an oblong shape and a self-supporting housing (1) of the exoskeleton type, having attached a winch (10) and that is supported by a rail track (8), comprising active parts and supporting parts: a levelling blade (2) connected by means of swiveling rods (9) to the housing exoskeleton and in the top part thereof to a laser receiver (6) by a removable graduated rod (5), also in the rear part it is provided with an active device for placing ducts (3). The said device is operated by an actuating and control panel (7), mounted by means of a removable supporting rod (4). The said device serving to eliminate the need for the human presence in the sewerage channel, preventing the risk of accidents, increasing the construction rate, increasing the accuracy in laying the sand base and also placing the sewerage duct on the sand base.

Detection accuracy of a device for obtaining a position of a blade is improved. A motor grader includes an antenna for reception of a satellite position determination signal arranged in a roof portion of a cab, a first IMU mounted on the cab, a second IMU mounted on a draw bar, a rotation angle sensor that detects an angle of rotation of a swing circle with respect to the draw bar, an inclination angle sensor that detects an angle of inclination of a blade with respect to the swing circle, and a controller. The controller obtains the position of the blade in a global coordinate system based on the satellite position determination signal received by the antenna and results of detection by the first IMU, the second IMU, the rotation angle sensor, and the inclination angle sensor.

A ground support apparatus for a material moving implement configured for moving a material from a surface. The material moving implement has a front surface and a rear surface. The ground support apparatus includes an actuating system that has at least one skid shoe actuator attached to the rear surface of the material moving implement, and at least one skid shoe operably coupled to the at least one skid shoe actuator. The skid shoe includes a first end configured for coupling to the at least one skid shoe actuator and a second end configured for contacting the surface. The ground support apparatus also includes manually-operated skid shoe controls operably connected to the actuating system and operable to actuate the at least one skid shoe actuator.

Systems and methods for augmenting an inertial navigation system (INS) include outputting from the INS position information associated with the implement and adjusting the implement based upon a comparison of the position information of the implement and a desired position of the implement. The INS is periodically re-initialized using error estimates generated by a kalman filter as a function of position information from one or more positioning (or measuring) devices, such as a fan laser, an automatic total station (ATS), a GNSS receiver, or a ground based radio positioning system, to correct a drift of the position information that may be caused by inherent characteristics of the INS.
