CUTTERHEAD DEBRIS GUARD
A cutterhead for dredging water-bed material from a body of water. The cutterhead comprises a shroud presenting a front margin for receiving water-bed material into an interior space of the shroud. The shroud additionally includes a port from which water-bed material can be removed from the interior space of the shroud. The cutterhead additionally comprises a rotatable cutterbar at least partially received within the interior space of the shroud. The cutterhead further comprises a debris guard positioned between the cutterbar and the port. The debris guard is operable to filter the water-bed material removed from the shroud through the port. At least a portion of the debris guard that faces the cutterbar includes a concave shape.
Subsea Blower Device
Subsea blower device comprising at least one nozzle, at least one propel arranged to provide the nozzle with water, further comprising a chassis with belts for movement of the device along the seafloor. The device typically has at least one arm pivotally attached to the chassis so that the position of the arm in relation to a horizontal plane is adjustable, while the nozzle is attached to the arm.
Method and device for deepening riverbeds and their cleaning from sediments
This invention relates to hydraulic engineering construction and can be used for deposit cleanup of river beds and channels. The object of the invention is to expand the arsenal of usable means for deposit cleanup and deepening of river beds, develop a method and create a device that uses the speed of the river current in the most effective way. The technical result of the claimed method is simplification and optimization of one existing method for cleanup of river beds and channels, increasing its functionality. The proposed method implements a movable water flow-restricting device with flow-guiding elements that creates a concentrated stream and directs it to a washout zone, bound by side walls, roof and washout surface.
Cutter thrust bearing assembly
A cutter suction dredger includes a vessel, a ladder extending away from the vessel, a cutter head positioned at a distal end of the ladder and configured to contact a bed of the body of water to cut into the bed, and a bearing assembly. The bearing assembly includes a first spherical thrust bearing configured to resist thrust forces generated by the cutter head contacting the bed, a second spherical thrust bearing positioned opposite the first spherical thrust bearing, a symmetrical spherical bearing positioned between the first and second spherical thrust bearings, and a housing surrounding the first and second spherical thrust bearings and the symmetrical spherical bearing, the housing mounted to the ladder. A shaft extends along the ladder and through the bearings and the housing, the cutter head coupled to a distal end of the shaft.
