VASCULAR ACCESS INSTRUMENT AND RELATED DEVICES AND METHODS
A vascular access system may include a catheter assembly, which may include a catheter hub and a catheter extending distally from the catheter hub. The vascular access system may include an instrument advancement device coupled to the catheter assembly. The instrument advancement device may include a vascular access instrument. The vascular access instrument may include a coil formed by a flat wire wound around an axis into multiple loops. The instrument advancement device may be configured to advance the vascular access instrument from a retracted position to an advanced position beyond a distal end of the catheter. The distal end of the catheter may include a distal opening. The coil may extend through the distal opening of the catheter in response to the vascular access instrument being in the advanced position.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR BI-DIRECTIONAL ENDOVASCULAR ACCESS FOR DIAGNOSTIC AND THERAPEUTIC INTERVENTIONS
The present invention relates to a sheath system that enables endovascular imaging and treatment of concomitant multiple lesions, both in antegrade and retrograde direction in a blood vessel. Further, the present invention relates to a method for using the sheath system enabling endovascular imaging and treatment of concomitant multiple lesions, both in antegrade and retrograde direction.
System for Liquid Component Fractionation and Application Method Thereof
A system for liquid component fractionation includes a first container, a second container, a tunnel connecting member and a stopcock valve. The stopcock valve is a three-way valve disposed at the tunnel connecting member and is rotatable to align one of three ports of the stopcock valve to a collection outlet member of the tunnel connecting member, so as to facilitate collection of a fractionated layer from a liquid after the system is centrifuged.
System for safe radioisotope preparation and injection
A method for safe radioisotope preparation and injection of H.sub.2.sup.15O for use in Positron Emission Tomography (PET). The disclosure also relates to a safety valve for controlling a flow of H215O for use in PET, to a use of said safety valve and to a method for preparing and injecting H.sub.2.sup.15O.
Flush enhancing male luer tip design for syringes and any luer connector
A luer connection device is disclosed having a housing including a side wall having an inside surface defining a lumen with a central axis, an proximal end, and a distal end including a male luer tip within the lumen having a central flow diverter extending outwardly from the central axis to direct a fluid to a circumferential dead space distal to the male luer tip. A luer connection device is also disclosed having a flow expansion channel disposed in the lumen tapering outward from the wall of tubular housing and partially extending along a longitudinal axis from the tip opening toward the base opening for increasing mixing and flow through a circumferential dead space in the fluid path distal to the male luer tip.
Rotary valve pump for automatic drug compounder
Various aspects of the subject disclosure relate to a compounder system having a cartridge that includes controllable fluid pathways. One or more rotary piston pump/valves may be used to move fluid and/or gasses through the various fluid pathways of the cartridge. For example, the cartridge may include a dedicated rotary piston pump/valve for each process that moves fluid and/or gas through the cartridge. When turning, the rotary piston pump/valve acts as a pump to move the fluid or gas, and when the rotary piston pump/valve stops turning, it effectively acts as a shutoff valve, preventing any fluid flow. Magnetic couplers for the cartridge may be provided on a pump head of the compounder system.
Gynecology and urology kit for improved bladder visualization for fast fill catheter
The present invention is a kit designed with a novel sized catheter valve capable of directing fluid easily through two separate paths or restricting fluid passage completely. The novel catheter valve is easy for an operator to use due to the relatively large valve control. The novel valve catheter also has a color code as an added safety measure.
Intra-cavity circulation heat perfusion apparatus
An intra-cavity circulation heat perfusion apparatus, comprising a casing, an electromagnetic induction heating means, and a controller. The electromagnetic induction heating means comprises a tray and an electromagnetic induction coil; the tray is used for bearing a heating tank; a master control unit of the controller controls the electromagnetic induction coil to be electrified to heat the heating tank, so as to indirectly heat a medicinal liquid in a liquid storage chamber; a data acquisition unit is used for acquiring medicinal liquid temperature values of the heating tank, a liquid outlet pipeline, and a liquid return pipeline and transferring same to the master control unit; the master control unit controls a power control unit according to the medicinal liquid temperature values to control a heating power of the electromagnetic induction coil.
AIR BUBBLE REMOVAL CAP AND SYRINGE SET
An air bubble removal cap includes: a main body portion that is formed in a tubular shape and defines a hollow portion inside, the hollow portion being configured to communicate with a collection tube that accommodates a body fluid from a living body; a connection portion that is located on a proximal side of the hollow portion and to which the collection tube is connectable; an exhaust portion that is located on a distal side of the hollow portion and is configured to discharge gas discharged from the collection tube; a filter that is disposed in the hollow portion and divides the exhaust portion and the connection portion; and a scattering prevention mechanism that covers a proximal side of the filter and prevents the body fluid from scattering to the filter.
System and Related Methods for Fat Harvesting
A fat harvesting systems and related methods of harvesting and reinjecting fat that provides a medical professional with multiple technique options. Harvested fat can be subjected to a variety of pre-reinjection preparation steps within a single, self contained reservoir such that the potential for contaminating the harvested fat is avoided. The fat harvesting system can be completely self-contained kit requiring no additional external systems or alternatively, can utilize available surgical suite systems, for example, vacuum to successfully harvest, prepare and reinject fat cells. The fat harvesting system can size harvested fat cells so as to be especially desirable for different injection locations in the body. The fat harvesting system is a single use, disposable system that requires no sterilization equipment and recovered and sized fat cells are maintained in a sanitary environment so as to avoid contamination that could result in having to discard recovered fat cells.
