This application relates to the field of reveal architectural panels and a tool or clamp for assembly thereof. The apparatus and method replace prior art assembly methods and fasteners with adhesives and a dedicated particularly designed clamp to facilitate assembly. The frame members are modified to facilitate assembly with adhesive sealants and removal of mechanical fasteners.

MOUNTING SYSTEM FOR ARCHITECTURAL PANELS

The invention concerns a mounting system to support free-form architectural panels, in particular molded panels made from fiber composite materials such as concrete, resin, and gypsum. The mounting system comprises a socket which can be securely embedded in the panel during casting. The mounting system further comprises a ball joint which is clamped into the socket and allows for attachment of the panel to support structure.

FRAME FOR A WALL PANEL, WALL PANEL, AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE

The present disclosure relates generally to siding, for example, suitable for covering a wall surface. The present disclosure relates more particularly to a frame for a wall panel. The frame includes a support strip extending in a lateral direction across the width of the wall panel and has first and second ends. The frame also includes a row of columns extending in a first direction from the support strip. Each column includes a proximal end attached to the support strip and a free distal end. The row of columns includes a first column disposed at a first end of the row of columns and laterally offset from the first end of the support strip, and a second column disposed at a second end of the row of columns and laterally offset from the second end of the support strip.

EMBEDDED ANCHORS FOR USE IN MOUNTING PANELS TO OTHER STRUCTURES
20210123232 · 2021-04-29 ·

Improved designs for embedded anchors that may be utilized to attach panels to other structures are described. An anchor includes a chassis and a leg. The chassis defines a mounting plate with a top surface and a downturned edge region projecting from the mounting plate in a direction substantially normal to the top surface. The bonding leg projects from the downturned edge region and is narrower than the downturned edge region. The bonding leg defines a proximal bonding leg region projecting from the downturned edge region in a direction normal to the top surface that transitions through a curved intermediate bonding leg region into a distal bonding leg region projecting from the curved intermediate bonding leg region in a direction parallel to the top surface. These anchors are easy and economical to manufacturer, and also provide a strong structural bond with panels due to the anchors' unique designs.

A fastening arrangement for anchoring facade panel elements includes a substructure on a building shell and a plurality of facade panel elements. The fastening arrangement has an adhesive component and a mechanical securing component. The fastening arrangement is characterized in that per facade panel element, at least two securing straps are provided as mechanical securing components, each having at least two fastening points. At least one fastening point of the two securing straps has a sliding point which uses an oblong hole. Furthermore, the longitudinal extent of this oblong hole defines an axis which is tilted at an angle of between 5 and 20 relative to the vertical axis. The fastening arrangement is constructed by preparing the substructure and at least one facade panel element for fastening, attaching the securing straps to the facade element and applying an adhesive component. After aligning and attaching the facade element to the substructure, the securing straps are attached to the substructure, with one attachment point of a first securing strap being the sliding point, and after fastening of the sliding point, the oblong hole is tilted at an angle of between 5 and 20 with respect to the vertical axis.
