METHOD FOR PRODUCING A PROTEIN HYDROLYSATE EMPLOYING AN ASPERGILLUS FUMIGATUS TRIPEPTIDYL PEPTIDASE
The present invention relates to compositions and methods for the production of a hydrolysate comprising at least one endoprotease and a tripeptidyl peptidase capable of cleaving tripeptides from the N-terminus a peptide and/or proteins having one or more of lysine, arginine or glycine in the P1 position wherein said tripeptidyl peptidase is capable of being used at a temperature between 45° C. and 70° C.
Cost-Effective Compositions and Methods for Enhanced Aquatic Farming and Aquarium Fish Husbandry
The subject invention provides microbe-based products, as well as their use, for enhancing aquaculture. In particular, the subject invention provides materials and methods for producing healthy and high quality farmed fish by applying yeast and/or bio surfactant-based compositions to a fish farm. In one embodiment, the subject invention improves the environment in which the fish are farmed. In another embodiment, the subject invention provides a highly nutritious fish feed, as well as methods of feeding fish at low cost.
INSECT PRODUCTION SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A method to produce insect frass, water-depleted insects, lipid-depleted insects, and insect lipids is described. The method includes feeding a feedstock to insects to produce grown insects and insect frass, harvesting and removing water from the grown insects, and extracting lipids from the water-depleted insects to produce lipid-depleted insects and insect lipids. The method further comprises mixing the feedstock with water, a mineral enhancer, or a vitamin enhancer, followed by sifting the grown insects, contacting the grown insects with water, separating water from the insect lipids, and distilling, hydrogenating, esterifying, and saponifying the insect lipids. Methods for analyzing, tracking, and shipping the grown insects are described. Producing a multifunctional composition from the insects, and shaping, cooking, flavoring, and production of animal foods or an insect-burger patty is disclosed. The insect production system may be placed within a space station in low Earth orbit, in outer space, or on Mars.

Animal Feed from Minimally Dewatered Microalgal Slurry
An extruded animal feed comprising minimally dewatered microalgal biomass and a porous mineral is disclosed. The livestock feed comprises a mixture of the porous mineral, such as zeolite, and a whole algal biomass containing between 2.0% to 15.0% solids. The whole algal biomass and the porous mineral are mixed together at a ratio of 1 part whole algal biomass to between 1 to 3 parts porous mineral. The extruded mixture can be formed by extruding the whole algal biomass and the porous mineral together, with or without additional ingredients. The extruded mixture of whole algal biomass and the porous mineral can be delivered as a feed supplement or can be further processed into a final feed composition. The feed supplement may comprise: Zeolite 2.5% to 12%; Microalgal biomass 1.0% to 7.5%; Flax between 40% to 60%; and a dry feed composition between 35% to 55%.

ANIMAL FEED ADDITIVE AND ANIMAL FEED
The present invention provides a coated-type feed additive composition for improving body weight gain of livestock or feed conversion ratio for livestock comprising: a core containing a polysaccharide having a property of aggregating gram-negative bacteria; and a core coating agent.
METHOD FOR TREATING GAS
The present invention provides a method for treating a gas, comprising: step (A): collecting a gas comprising carbon dioxide and fine particulate matter; step (B): rinsing the gas with water to obtain a rinsed gas; and step (C): contacting the rinsed gas with a basic solution in a way of co-current flow to absorb the carbon dioxide in the rinsed gas by the basic solution to obtain a treated gas and a weak basic solution; wherein the pH value of the basic solution is between 9 and 14, and the pH value of the weak basic solution is between 8 and 8.5. The method can reduce the content of both fine particulate matter and carbon dioxide.
