Systems, methods, and apparatuses for insulating adjacent to a top of an attic
An insulation system and method comprising an insulation layer, an atmospheric regulation layer, a structural support, and an external surface; wherein the atmospheric regulation layer is supported by the structural support, wherein the insulation layer is located between the atmospheric regulation layer and the external surface, wherein the atmospheric regulation layer has a water vapor permeability of not greater than 3 perms at a relative humidity of 25% as measured by ASTM E96 Procedure A Dry Cup, and a water vapor permeability of at least 6 perms at a relative humidity of 75% as measured by ASTM E96 Procedure B Wet Cup, wherein the atmospheric regulation layer has a fire class A rating as measured by ASTM E84, and wherein the continuous atmospheric regulation layer has a ACH50 value of not greater than 10, wherein ACH50 represents an air exchange at 50 Pascals.
SYNERGISTIC WALL CONSTRUCTION METHOD
A thermal barrier and air barrier system is described.
SELF-STICK INSULATION AND METHODS
A method of using a self-stick insulation. The method includes providing a piece of insulation product with an adhesive coating. The adhesive coating includes polystyrene-maleic anhydride (SMA) and/or polyacrylic acid (PAA); an alcohol amine; and at least one of a polyvinyl alcohol and a starch. The adhesive coating is then activated with liquid water. Once the adhesive coating is active, the insulation product is attached to a surface with the adhesive coating.
SYSTEMS, METHODS, AND APPARATUSES FOR INSULATING ADJACENT TO A TOP OF AN ATTIC
An insulation system for hanging insulation in a truss is disclosed and includes a first rail configured to be installed on a first truss and a second rail configured to be installed on a second truss spaced apart from the first truss. A first cavity is established between the first rail and the second rail. Further, the first cavity is configured to receive and engage a first insulation batt.
Roof insulation systems
An insulation system includes roof sheathing panels, spaced apart structural members, a plurality of pins, insulation support material, and insulation. The plurality of pins are secured to the roof sheathing panels, the structural members, or both. The insulation support material is connected to the pins to form an insulation cavity below the roof sheathing panels and below the structural members. Insulation is disposed on the insulation support material, between the spaced apart structural members and directly under the bottommost surfaces of the structural members.
SUPPORT STRUCTURES FOR INSULATION AND OTHER MATERIALS
A holder for supporting a material such as insulation. The holder includes a support member having a first and a second wire element for supporting the material, with each of the first and second wire elements having a first end and a second end adapted to engage two beams. The first and second wire elements also are coupled together by a serpentine section defining a planar holding surface. The second ends include U-shaped clamping members.
System for installing ceiling sheets in buildings
A tensioned panel extended insulation system includes a support structure, a panel support structure and a pair of insulation panels. A telescoping tube extended insulation system includes a support structure and a ceiling sheet material. A rafter clip may be attached to a rafter for attachment of an end of the support structure. A cable arched telescoping tube extended insulation system includes an arched support structure, an adjustable spacer, a cable and the ceiling sheet material. A bar joist extended insulation system includes a support structure, an insulation support structure and an ceiling sheet material. A bar joist extended insulation system may be arched. A system for installing ceiling sheet material in buildings preferably includes either two roller supports or two sheave supports, a middle section, a first end section and a second end section. A rotary strut could also be used to replace an existing strut.
ATTIC BAFFLE RADIANT BARRIER VENTILATION SYSTEM
An attic baffle radiant barrier for use in unvented attics and vented attics. The attic baffle has a baffle substrate with an elongated H-shape, with a cross-span extending between two legs on the left and right, each leg comprising an upper portion and a lower portion. A tab or extension extends from the respective ends of one or both portions of one or both legs of the H. A radiant barrier layer is affixed or adhered to one side of the baffle substrate. The tabs or extensions may be used for stapling (i.e., using staples) or otherwise fastening the attic baffle radiant barrier to the bottoms, tops, or sides of rafter studs or trusses or similar frame members when installed.
