EXPANDER SYSTEMS FOR HARNESSING ENERGY FROM PRESSURIZED FLUID FLOW
A system includes a reciprocating expander including: a piston disposed in a chamber; a crankshaft; a connector rod coupled between the piston and the crankshaft and configured to transfer torque to the crankshaft in response to movement of the piston in the chamber; and a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet on one side of the piston. The system also includes a first flowpath coupled between a wellbore and the reciprocating expander and configured to communicate gas from the wellbore into the fluid inlet of the reciprocating expander at a first pressure. The system further includes a second flowpath coupled between the reciprocating expander and downstream equipment and configured to communicate the gas from the reciprocating expander toward the downstream equipment at a second pressure, the second pressure being lower than the first pressure.

Engine capable of reducing noise
An engine includes a cylinder system, a driving system including a piston and a crankshaft, a power generating system and a cooling system. The power generating system is disposed on a side of the driving system and includes a generator and a counterweight. The generator includes a main body and a rotor pivotally disposed within the main body. The cooling system is disposed on an opposite side of the driving system and includes a first water pump in fluid communication with the cylinder system. An outline of the rotor is projected along the crankshaft to form a first projecting zone. Projections of the first water pump and the driving system along the crankshaft overlap the first projecting zone.

Refrigeration apparatus
A refrigeration apparatus includes a compressor, two or more cylinders coupled with the compressor, and an airproof container enclosing the cylinders and filled with air or other gas. Each cylinder is provided with a piston, an inlet valve coupled with the compressor, and an outlet valve coupled with a condenser. When inlet valves are open, outlet valves are closed, and pistons move from bottom to top of cylinders, refrigerant flows from compressor into cylinders through inlet valves; and when inlet valves are closed and outlet valves are open, refrigerant flows from cylinders into condenser through outlet valves. Then, air pressure in cylinders drops, and pressure in airproof container forces pistons to move to the bottom of cylinders. The pressure in airproof container is utilized by cylinders to produce electrical energy.
