Scroll expander with exhaust path thru bearings and a partition plate
A housing of a scroll type expansion machine includes: a suction port formed at a position on the opposite side to a drive shaft with a fixed scroll interposed therebetween; a discharge port formed on the side of a drive-side bearing closer to the tip end of the drive shaft; a low pressure chamber formed on the outer side of an orbiting-side scroll portion when viewed from the axial direction of the drive shaft; and a tip end-side low-pressure space being a space in which a sealing member is disposed, and has: a partition wall partitioning the tip end-side low-pressure space and the low-pressure chamber from each other; and a communication space communicating the tip end-side low-pressure space with the low-pressure chamber.
Scroll Fluid Machine
Scroll fluid machine (1) in which the dislodgement of a slide bush (56) and a spring (61), which are provided in an eccentric bush (36), is prevented. Provided in receiving hole (58) of eccentric bush (36) are slide bush (56), which is movable in the direction of eccentricity, and spring (61), which biases slide bush (56) in a moving direction. A spring holding section (56b) and engagement projections (56a) are formed on slide bush (56). After slide bush (56) is placed in the receiving hole (58), engagement projections (56a) engage with eccentric bush (36) in a state in which slide bush (56) has been moved by the biasing force of spring (61), thus preventing slide bush (56) from falling off the receiving hole (58), and the spring holding section (56b) prevents the spring (61) from falling off the receiving hole (58).
Scroll device having a pressure plate
A scroll device has a housing having a fixed scroll plate and an orbiting scroll plate mounted therein on an idler shaft, the fixed scroll plate having a side having a fixed interleaved involute scroll and an outward facing side, the orbiting scroll plate having a side that has an orbiting interleaved involute scroll, an inlet port for the introduction of a working fluid into the device, and a pressure plate positioned adjacent to the outward facing side of the fixed scroll plate.
Scroll compressor
A scroll compressor includes fixed and movable scrolls, each scroll having a spiral lap placed on one surface of a plate. The lap of the fixed scroll and the lap of the movable scroll are interlocked to form a compression chamber between the laps of the scrolls which are adjacent to each other. At least one of the laps has a spiral shape in which a base radius of an involute decreases as a winding angle increases in a region extending from a winding start part to a winding middle part, and the base radius of the involute in a region extending from the winding middle part to a winding end part is larger than the smallest value of the base radius of the involute in the region extending from the winding start part to the winding middle part.
Compressor
A check valve includes a valve seat portion and a reed valve element and is received in a receiving hole of an intermediate pressure refrigerant supply passage that is placed adjacent to a flow inlet of an injection port, through which a refrigerant of an intermediate pressure is injected into a compression chamber. A center of the flow inlet of the injection port is offset from a central axis of a valve seat passage formed in the valve seat portion.
FLUID PRESSURE PULSE GENERATOR FOR A DOWNHOLE TELEMETRY TOOL
A fluid pressure pulse generator for a downhole telemetry tool comprising a stator and a rotor. The stator comprises a stator flow diverter radially extending across a flow path for fluid flowing through the fluid pressure pulse generator and having one or more than one stator flow channel therethrough through which the fluid flows. The rotor comprises a rotor flow diverter radially extending across the flow path for fluid flowing through the fluid pressure pulse generator and having one or more than one rotor flow channel therethrough through which the fluid flows. The rotor flow diverter is axially adjacent the stator flow diverter and the rotor flow diverter is rotatable relative to the stator flow diverter to move the one or more than one rotor flow channel in and out of fluid communication with the one or more than one stator flow channel to create fluid pressure pulses in the fluid flowing through the fluid pressure pulse generator. A rotor/driveshaft coupling releasably couples the driveshaft of a probe of the tool and the rotor such that the probe can be decoupled from the rotor and removed from a sub housing the fluid pressure pulse generator.
Compound engine system with rotary engine
A compound engine system including a Wankel engine having a recess defined in the peripheral wall of the rotor in each of the three rotating chambers, the recess having a volume of more than 5% of the displacement volume of the chambers. The expansion in the turbine section compensates for the relatively low expansion ratio of the rotary engine.
NITROGEN DRIVEN DC GENERATOR
A man-portable backup power generation method including introducing a compressed nitrogen gas stream into an expander turbine, expanding the compressed nitrogen gas stream within the expander turbine, thereby producing a rotational mechanical output, and introducing the rotational mechanical output into a power generator coupled to the expander turbine, thereby producing an electrical output.
Scroll compressor having wrap with reinforcing portion
A scroll compressor is provided that may include an orbiting scroll having an orbiting wrap, and which performs an orbiting motion; and a fixed scroll having a fixed wrap to form a compression chamber including a suction chamber, an intermediate pressure chamber, and a discharge chamber, by being engaged with the orbiting wrap. A wrap thickness of the fixed wrap may be greater than a wrap thickness of the orbiting wrap within a range which forms the suction chamber. With such a configuration, even if the fixed scroll or the orbiting scroll is thermally-expanded, a transformation of the fixed wrap at a suction side may be prevented. This may prevent a gap between the fixed wrap and the orbiting wrap at an opposite side to the suction side, thereby enhancing compression efficiency.
