BLOOD TREATMENT SYSTEMS AND METHODS USING METHYLENE BLUE
Blood treatment methods that are combined in a unique manner can provide health benefits to patients by performing the methods and using systems that perform such methods. Methods of treatment include withdrawing the blood from a patient, performing multiple blood treatment methods on the blood, and then inserting the treated blood back into the patient. As a result of the treatments, the blood is cleansed and energized, enabling it to perform at higher levels than it would otherwise perform. The treatment methods can include, for example, performing an oxygen-based treatment, such as ozone generation, in combination with mixing methylene blue with the oxygenated blood. In some embodiments, a red light treatment can also be introduced in conjunction with the use of methylene blue. Systems that enable these treatment methods are also provided.
Technologies for sanitizing mist humidifiers
Technologies (e.g., devices, systems and methods) for sanitizing mist humidifiers are described. In some embodiments, the technologies include a sanitization gas system and a connector unit. The connector unit is configured to install into an opening in the mist humidifier that is used in operation to release mist for humidification purposes. The connector unit includes an inlet passageway for supplying sanitizing gas (e.g., ozone) into the humidifier, and an exhaust system for removing sanitizing gas from the reservoir.
Systems, methods, and devices for ozone sanitization of continuous positive airway pressure devices
The present invention is generally related to a device and method for sanitizing a medical instrument with ozone, in particular the invention relates to a system, method and a device for sanitizing a continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) device. The device has an ozone compartment, an ozone operating system and one or more ozone distribution lines that distribute ozone to a continuous positive airway pressure device. The device may further include a heater adapter unit to connect heating systems in CPAP devices while distributing ozone to sanitize the CPAP device in accordance with the present invention.
Multi-modal wound treatment apparatus
The wound treatment apparatus combines an internal negative pressure (vacuum) pump and an internal positive pressure (compressor) pump connectable to an external oxygen supply for providing both negative pressure wound therapy and hyperbaric oxygen wound therapy to a wound site. The apparatus also includes a user interface operatively connected to an electronic controller that monitors and actuates the vacuum and compressor pumps. The user interface and controller enables the apparatus to provide multiple modes of operation and the ability to selectively change between negative pressure therapy operational modes and hyperbaric oxygen operational modes.
INTEGRATED PORTABLE APPARATUS FOR TOPICAL WOUND THERAPY, USING AMBIENT AIR FOR THE CREATION OF THREE BIOACTIVE GASES THAT INDEPENDENTLY AND SYNERGISTICALLY ASSIST IN THE RESOLUTION OF PATHOGENIC DERMATOLOGICAL CONDITIONS
A method for treating a wound includes the steps of: (1) introducing ambient air into an oxygen concentrator that increases an oxygen concentration of the ambient air and forms a first output gas; (2) introducing the first output gas into a corona discharge generator that transforms the first output gas into a second output gas by converting portions of the concentrated oxygen into reactive oxygen species (ROS), and converting portions of the nitrogen gas into nitrogen reactive species (NRS); and (3) delivering the second output gas into a multi-gas compartment within a treatment device in which the wound is positioned.
Self-sanitizing medical devices, systems and methods using the same
Technologies (e.g., devices, systems and methods) for sanitizing positive airway pressure (PAP) systems are described. In some embodiments, the technologies include a PAP delivery system comprising a hose and a PAP mask, a positive pressure supply system configured to generate a flow of pressurized air which is delivered to a user through the hose to the PAP mask of the PAP delivery system, a sanitizing system configured to sanitize one or more components of the self-sanitizing PAP system, and a PAP base unit housing, wherein one or more components of the positive pressure supply system and the sanitizing system are disposed at least partially within the PAP base unit housing.
Therapeutic device for treatment of conditions relating to the sinuses, nasal cavities, ear, nose and throat
A therapeutic device for treating one or more conditions associated with a user's nasal cavities, sinuses, and/or ear canals includes a housing having an opening, an acoustic vibrator within the housing that is operable to provide an acoustic vibration to the user, a fan within the housing that is operable to provide a pressure to the user and a power supply that provides power to the acoustic vibrator and the fan. A mask is connected to the housing at the opening and includes a nasal interface appliable around the nose of the user, a nasal chamber in which the user's nostrils are located and an aperture through which the fan delivers the pressure.
Anti-Shadowing Ultraviolet "C" (UV-C) Virus Irradiation and Deactivation Chamber with Ozone Re-circulation and Neutralization
An anti-shadowing virus irradiation and deactivation device comprised of air chambers having multiple ultraviolet “C” light sources, with a selectable recirculation path to harness ozone gas produced, and a system to neutralize said ozone gas upon exit.
SYSTEM FOR TREATMENT OF RESPIRATORY INFECTIONS AND CANCERS OF THE RESPIRATORY SYSTEM USING COLD ATMOSPHERIC PLASMA
A system for performing cold atmospheric plasma treatment of respiratory infections or lung cancer having a source of a carrier gas, a cold atmospheric plasma generator connected to the source of carrier gas, a source of compressed air, a humidifier connected to the source of compressed air, a source of oxygen, a ventilator having inputs connected to an output of the humidifier and the source of oxygen, a mixer having an interior chamber formed from a dielectric, an active electrode inside the interior chamber, and an outer electrode connected to ground, wherein the mixer has a fluid input port connected to a gas output of the cold atmospheric plasma generator and an output of the ventilator, and a delivery member connected to an output of the mixer for delivering combined humidified air and cold atmospheric plasma to a respiratory system of a patient.
Sterile flexible package with pressure compensator for the dosed reconstitution of fluid medicinal or nutritional substances to be administered to patients by infusion or injection
The package comprises a sterile bag filled with liquid diluent, a bottle equipped with a pierceable cap to contain a medicinal substance and a tube extending from the bag and having a coupling and perforation device for the cap. The bag is housed in a first casing, while the bottle and the coupling and perforation device are in a second casing. The tube has a portion, housing a flow diverter adjustable from a first position which impedes any communication between the bottle and the bag, a second position which allows the bag to be put in communication with a sealed side opening for a syringe, or a third position which allows the bottle to be connected with said side opening. Another side opening of the flow diverter a flexible tube with hydrophobic filter is attached, terminating into one of said sterile sealed casings and serving as a pressure compensator.
