OXYGEN MASKS
20230256185 · 2023-08-17 ·

The present disclosure relates to an oxygen mask comprising a mask body defining a cavity configured to be positioned, over the mouth and nose of a patient, an oxygen port formed on the upper half of the mask body, an annular aperture formed on the mask body, and at least one vent port formed on the mask body, wherein each vent port is formed on the bottom half of the mask body in a manner that patient’s exhaled gases are directed towards the vent port.

RESPIRATORY MASK
20220143349 · 2022-05-12 ·

A respiratory protective mask that prevents carbon dioxide rebreathing is disclosed. The respiratory mask includes a filter element that is dimensioned to cover an opening of a wearer's mouth. A cup like element is configured to rest against and retain the filter element against a wearer's chin. A top extent of the filter element extends laterally across a wearer's lip between a wearer's nose and the opening of the wearer's mouth, when worn. An arm of the filter element is defined by a convergence of the top extent and a lower extent of the filter element. The lower extent that converges upwardly from the cup like element towards a lateral end of the filter element subjacent to a wearer's ear, when worn. A retaining element is attached at the lateral end of the filter element and is configured to removably secure the filter element to cover the wearer's mouth.

NON-REBREATHER FACE MASK WITH RETENTION STRAP
20230256186 · 2023-08-17 · ·

Disclosed herein are embodiments describing nonrebreather facemasks for efficiently and comfortably delivering oxygen to patients. One embodiment describes a cup-shaped pliable facemask that is suited to cover and seal a patient's nose, mouth, and cheeks within the cup-shaped facemask. Certain other embodiments describe an inlet tube outwardly extending from the facemask at an angle in line with the pathway of a patient's nostrils to better provide oxygen directly into a patient's nose. Other embodiments envision varying facemask's stiffness for improved comfort and sealing against the patient's face. While other embodiments envision a reduction in dead space of a facemask when worn by a patient to improve oxygen efficiency used by the patient.

Collapsible conduit, patient interface and headgear connector

A conduit with a collapsible portion, and a nasal interface for providing a flow of gases to a user, is described. The interface comprises a manifold and at least one nasal prong or an outlet extending from the manifold to be received by a user's nare. A side member extends from each side of the manifold, each side member comprising a collapsible portion comprising a lumen. In an open configuration the lumen remains open and in a closed configuration the collapsible portion is pinched or flattened to occlude or substantially occlude the lumen. At least one of the side members is a conduit for a flow of gases from an inlet of the patient interface to the manifold.

Patient interface with blowout prevention for seal-forming portion

One form of the present technology includes a sealing structure to seal against a user's face around the user's airways. The sealing structure includes a flap or membrane that extends inward towards the user's airways and includes a structure that prevents an inner boundary of the flap or membrane from being blown outwards (e.g., folded backwards upon itself) due to internal pressurization.

POSITIONING AND STABILISING STRUCTURE FOR A PATIENT INTERFACE
20220134042 · 2022-05-05 ·

A patient interface includes a positioning and stabilising structure having headgear comprising a ring strap portion with a superior portion configured to overlay the parietal bones of the patient's head in use and an inferior portion configured to overlay or lie inferior to the occipital bone of the patient's head in use. The ring strap portion defines a loop having a pair of upper strap portions configured to connect between the ring strap portion and a cushion assembly in use on a respective side of the patient's head superior to an otobasion superior. The headgear may comprise a rigidised portion. The headgear may be integrally formed by flat knitting and the strap portions may include blind guides to provide tactile indications of the locations of fastening portions.
