The invention relates to a blade or vane, particularly of a turbine stage of a gas turbine, in particular of an aircraft gas turbine, having a blade or vane root and a blade or vane element joined to the blade or vane root, wherein the blade or vane element has a pressure side and a suction side, and wherein the blade or vane root has at least one raised region on its radial outer side facing the blade or vane element. It is proposed according to the invention that the blade or vane has a first raised region on the pressure side and a second raised region on the suction side, wherein the highest point of the first raised region is disposed essentially directly adjacent to the pressure side, and the highest point of the second raised region is disposed essentially directly adjacent to the suction side.

BLADED DISC

A bladed disc for a rotating machine comprising a central disc that rotates about a central axis, the central disc having a series of blades arranged around its periphery; the blades have dovetail roots which engage with slots on the central disc; the bladed disc being configured so that there is a pre-loading force between the blades and the central disc such that each blade is forced away from the central axis of the bladed disc; and wherein the pre-loading force is equal or greater than 40% of the maximum centrifugal force applied to the blade during a flight cycle.

Turbine wheel including a turbine disk, turbine blades, and seal plates

In a turbine wheel, each of seal plates is formed from an elastic plate member whose radially intermediate portion is curved projecting toward one axial end surfaces of turbine blades and a turbine disk. The seal plate includes: an assembly recessed portion recessed in a direction getting closer to the one axial end surfaces, near a radially outer end of the plate; and a disassembly protrusion projecting in a direction getting away from the one axial end surfaces, near a radially inner end of the plate. When the recessed portion is pressed for attaching the plate, a tip end of the recessed portion comes into contact with the one axial end surface of each turbine blade or the disk. The plate is accordingly inhibited from being excessively deformed. Thus, the plate is blocked from being plastically deformed, and is precluded from coming off the wheel.

COMPOSITE ROTATABLE ASSEMBLY FOR AN AXIAL-FLOW COMPRESSOR

A composite rotatable assembly for an axial flow compressor comprises a spool having a plurality of blade assemblies arranged in stages on the spool and attached thereto by a wound band. Each blade assembly comprises a blade and a base, with the base having a forward tang extending axially forward of a leading edge of the blade and an aft tang extending axially aft of a trailing edge of the blade. The band is wound over at least a portion of the forward and aft tangs of the plurality of blade assemblies to hold the blade assemblies to the spool under centrifugal loading. An abradable layer may be added over the wound band.

Method and apparatus for supporting blades

A method of supporting a cantilevered component mounted to a hub by locating a cassette in proximity to the cantilevered component, the cassette defining a volume for filling with an encapsulant; filling the volume with an encapsulant material; and causing the encapsulant to solidify to the cantilevered component to support the cantilevered component. The cantilevered component is preferably a blade on a bladed disc and the encapsulant provides support to change the vibration response of the blade during a subsequent machining step.

Fan disc

A fan disc is provided for supporting fan blades of a gas turbine engine. The fan disc has a disc body having axially extending slots for receiving, in use, dovetail root fixings of a circumferential row of fan blades. The fan disc further has an annular drive arm which extends radially inwardly from a forward portion of the disc body to a connector for engaging, in use, with a corresponding connector portion of a drive shaft of the engine. The fan disc further has a hoop stiffening ring which is removably mounted to a rear portion of the disc body, the stiffening ring being axially spaced from the drive arm to increase the torsional stiffness of the fan disc.

Workpiece clamp device with single side
09844855 · 2017-12-19 ·

A workpiece clamp device with single side is disclosed. When a bolt is screwed in relative to a base plane, an elastic member is compressed by a first and a second stop portions and a second clamp surface of a driving block is limited by a second wall surface. A first inclined surface is pushed leftward by a second inclined surface so that a tool is clamped by the first clamp surface and a first wall surface. When the bolt is screwed out relative to the base plane, the elastic member is reset due to the compression of the first and the second stop portions. Since the second clamp surface is limited by a second wall surface, the first inclined surface is pushed rightward by the second inclined surface to move the driving block upward so that the force for clamping the tool is released and the tool is disassembled.
