A bearing element for at least one adjustable guide vane of a turbomachine, in particular an aircraft engine, is provided. The bearing element comprising a porous matrix made of carbon and/or graphite and at least one metallic phase or a metal salt that is at least partially arranged inside the pores of the matrix, so that what results is a metal-infiltrated or a metal-salt-infiltrated material.

Double sealing device
09845882 · 2017-12-19 · ·

A double sealing device for a rotating shaft comprising a first and a second seal of annular form mounted side by side in a peripheral groove formed in a wall of a circular cylindrical housing through which the shaft to be sealed passes. At least one of a discharge or vent channel opens into the peripheral groove between the two seals. The seals comprise a carrier ring with an outer axial flange and an inner radial flange, and a sealing washer applied to each carrier ring to cover a part of an outer face of the axial flange. A sealing lip bearing is formed slidably on the shaft, the first seal sealing a first fluid medium and the second seal sealing a second fluid medium. The axial flange has an extension forming a pierced structure, not covered by the sealing washer of the seal, and disposed facing the peripheral groove.

Shaft seal mechanism and rotary machine provided with same

A shaft seal structure capable of preventing a seal body of the shaft seal structure of a rotation body from being held in an inclined posture even when the seal body is inclined is provided. It includes, an accommodation body (9), a seal body (12) including thin plate seal pieces (20), and a plate body (17) covering one end in the axial direction (20d) of the seal body (12). A recessed portion (31) recessing in the axis direction, and a protruding portion projecting to the other side from the recessed portion (31) are formed on one of the plate surface (17c) of the plate body (17) and the inner wall surface (9e) of the accommodation body (9). When the protruding portion abuts the other side and a pocket (X), the recessed portion (31) communicates with the pocket (X) and the fluid low pressure region.

Shaft sealing apparatus

Provided is a shaft sealing apparatus, which includes a seal ring that is installed in an annular space between a rotor and a stator surrounding an outer circumference side of the rotor, that is formed in a divided structure from a movable seal ring and a stationary seal ring whose circumferential ends are adjacent to each other, and that is configured so that the movable seal ring is biased toward a radial outer side thereof by an elastic body, a seal body that is formed by stacking a plurality of thin seal pieces, which extend from the seal ring toward a radial inner side of the rotor, in a circumferential direction of the rotor, and a communicating part that causes the low-pressure side region and the high-pressure side region to communicate with each other.
