The turbine fracturing device includes a turbine engine, a speed reducer, a brake mechanism, and a fracturing pump, the method includes: driving, by the turbine engine, the fracturing pump to perform a fracturing operation through the speed reducer so as to keep the fracturing pump in an operating state, the fracturing pump being configured to suck fluid of a first pressure and discharge fluid of a second pressure, the second pressure being greater than the first pressure; and in response to an idling instruction, the turbine engine entering an idling state and triggering a brake operation so as to keep the fracturing pump in a non-operating state.
Geared gas turbine engine with gear driving low pressure compressor and fan at a common speed and a shear section to provide overspeed protection
A turbine engine has a fan and a low pressure compressor that rotate at a common speed and in a common direction. A fan drive turbine drives a gear reduction to, in turn, drive the low pressure compressor and the fan at a speed which is slower than a speed of the fan drive turbine. A combustor intermediate the low pressure compressor and the fan drive turbine and a thrust bearing mount the fan drive turbine, the thrust bearing being aft of a location of the combustor. A shear section in a drive connection connecting the fan drive turbine to the gear reduction is weaker than other portions of the drive connection. The shear section is aft of the thrust bearing.
Turbine Motor for Use with a Pneumatic Tool
A turbine motor configured to be connected to a tool. The turbine motor includes a receptacle that houses a turbine blade. A channel is configured to receive air to drive the turbine blade. The turbine motor is configured to provide for one or more features that provide enhanced functionality. One feature includes a modular design that can be tailored to adjust the torque of the turbine blade and thus the output of the turbine motor. Another feature includes a brake that stops rotation of the turbine blade.
HYBRID ELECTRIC AIRCRAFT ENGINE
A method for operating a hybrid electric propulsion system of an aircraft, the hybrid electric propulsion system comprising a turbomachine, an electric machine coupled to the turbomachine, and a propulsor coupled to the turbomachine, the method comprising: operating the turbomachine to drive the propulsor; receiving data indicative of a failure condition of the hybrid electric propulsion system; and extracting power from the turbomachine using the electric machine to slow down one or more rotating components of the turbomachine in response to receiving the data indicative of the failure condition.
GAS TURBINE ENGINE
A gas turbine engine, includes: an engine core including a turbine, compressor, and shaft system connecting the turbine to the compressor, and forming a torque path therebetween. The shaft system is axially located by a thrust bearing located forward of the turbine, and the engine is configured, in the event of a shaft break which divides the shaft system into a front portion located by the thrust bearing and a rear portion unlocated by the thrust bearing, the rear portion is free to move axially rearwardly under a gas load. The engine further includes a shaft break detector having a forward speed sensor configured to measure a rotational speed of the front portion of the shaft system, and a rear microwave sensor configured to measure a rotational speed of the rear portion of the shaft system, wherein a shaft break can be detected based on differences in the measured speeds.
Fan blade refurbishment training device
A training apparatus is provided that includes a stand and at least one gas turbine engine fan stage. The at least one gas turbine engine fan stage has a plurality of fan rotor blades attached to a disk. The at least one gas turbine engine fan stage has an axially extending centerline, and the disk is mounted for rotation about the axially extending centerline. The stand is configured to support the at least one gas turbine engine fan stage.
GEARED TURBOFAN WITH LOW PRESSURE TURBINE FEATURES
Control of combustion engine shut down
The abrupt cessation or run-away of a combustion engine may damage the combustion engine and pose a safety hazard to the surrounding environment. The combustion engine operational mode may be controlled, regulated or maintained by regulating the combustion mixture of the combustion engine. The oxidizer flow, a material or both of the combustion mixture may be regulate to create or form a combustion material that is outside a combustible range such that the combustion engine is placed or maintained in a spin-down operational mode. The material added to the combustion mixture may include a combustible, non-combustible, oxidizer, or exhaust material. A brake may also provide a secondary mechanism to maintain or place the combustion engine in a spin-down mode.
