Steam turbine configured to recover static pressure of steam in diffuser

A steam turbine has a diffuser that is configured to guide steam to an outside of a casing. The diffuser has an outer guide that gradually expands to an outer side in a radial direction and an inner guide that is disposed at intervals to an inner side in the radial direction with respect to the outer guide. The inner guide has an inner curved diameter-expanded portion that gradually expands to the outer side in the radial direction while being curved from the first side to the second side in the axial direction. The outer guide has a first diameter-expanded portion that gradually expands to the outer side in the radial direction with a first radius of curvature, and a second diameter-expanded portion that gradually expands to the outer side in the radial direction with a second radius of curvature larger than the first radius of curvature.

Onboard heater of auxiliary systems using exhaust gases and associated methods

An exhaust energy recovery system (EERS) and associated methods for an engine are disclosed. An embodiment of an EERS, for example, includes an inlet duct that is configured to divert exhaust gas from an exhaust duct of the engine into the recovery system and an outlet duct configured to return the exhaust gas to the exhaust duct downstream of the inlet duct. The recovery system is configured to heat components or fluids associated with engine to operating temperatures. The recovery system may be part of a mobile power system that is mounted to a single trailer and includes an engine and a power unit such as a high pressure pump or generator mounted to the trailer. Methods of operating and purging recovery systems are also disclosed.

EXHAUST FRAME DIFFERENTIAL COOLING SYSTEM
20230212958 · 2023-07-06 ·

The present application provides an exhaust frame differential cooling system of a gas turbine engine to mitigate a temperature differential along a compressor and/or a turbine to minimize centerline eccentricity of a shaft. The exhaust frame differential cooling system may include a number of compressor temperature sensors positioned about the compressor and/or a number of turbine temperature sensors positioned about the turbine, an exhaust frame including an inner barrel with a bearing tunnel for the shaft, an outer barrel, and a number of struts extending from the inner barrel to the outer barrel, a blower, and a cooling air metering system that provides cooling air from the blower to the bearing tunnel and through the inner barrel, the struts, and the outer barrel in response to the temperature differential being determined along the compressor and/or the turbine.

Hydraulic Fracturing System for Driving a Plunger Pump with a Turbine Engine

The present invention discloses a hydraulic fracturing system for driving a plunger pump with a turbine engine, including a fracturing equipment comprising a turbine engine fueled by natural gas or diesel as a power source, an exhaust system, and a plunger pump; a high-low pressure manifold; a blending equipment adapted to blend a fracturing base fluid; and a sand-mixing equipment adapted to provide the fracturing base fluid and a fracturing proppant to the high-low pressure manifold. A first end of the high-low pressure manifold is connected to the fracturing equipment through a connection pipeline. A second end of the high-low pressure manifold is connected to a wellhead. An exhaust end of the turbine engine is connected to the exhaust system whereas an output driving end of the turbine engine is connected to the plunger pump via a connection device. The connection device comprises at least a reduction gearbox. An input speed of the reduction gearbox matches an output driving speed of the turbine engine, and an input torque of the reduction gearbox matches an output driving torque of the turbine engine. The exhaust system may include a diffuser.

Method for manufacturing a turbine engine part and the thereby produced part

A method for manufacturing a turbine engine part in which a first rough casting element includes a first face and a second face opposite to each other is assembled by the second face on an orifice which has a second element of the part. The method includes machining a through-cavity in the first element which opens at the first face and from the second face of the first element and machining the first face of the first element so as to form an area suitable for ensuring the attachment of a conduit on the first element. The machining of the cavity and of the first face is achieved by using a machining reference frame based on the second element.
