Breaker auto-synchronizer

A breaker between two electrical circuits is provided that is closed when electrical properties in both of the electrical circuits are matching. Two check circuits are provided for comparing electrical properties of the two electrical circuits. Each of the check circuits sets a corresponding authorization to close the breaker. The breaker is only closed if both check circuits set an authorization to close the circuit.

Turbine diagnostics

A turbine speed probe diagnostic system is provided. The turbine includes a speed probe and a speed reading circuit. A speed lead connects the speed probe and speed reading circuit together to transmit speed signals from the speed probe to the speed reading circuit. A speed probe diagnostic circuit is also provided for connection to the speed lead. An isolation switch is provided to isolate the speed probe diagnostic circuit during normal operation when the speed reading circuit is receiving speed signals from the speed probe. When no speed signals are being received, the isolation switch closes and the speed probe diagnostic circuit performs a test on the speed probe or speed lead.

Valve position control

A control system is provided for a turbine valve. The turbine valve has a first coil and a second coil to control or sense movement of a mechanical valve positioner. Two valve positioners are provided with each valve positioner having two drive circuits to drive the first and second coils. Switches are provided such that only one drive circuit is connected to each coil at a time. The control system may also include a hydraulic pilot valve section and a main hydraulic valve section. Feedbacks are used to determine a pilot valve error and a main valve error which are combined to determine a turbine valve error. The turbine valve error is repeatedly determined to minimize the error.

In a seawater leakage detection device in a feedwater system, a method for detecting seawater leakage in a feedwater system, and a steam turbine plant, an ammonia addition device configured to add ammonia as a pH adjusting agent to feedwater at an upstream side of a high-pressure drum in a feedwater line, an acid electrical conductivity meter configured to measure an acid electrical conductivity of drum water in the high-pressure drum, and a control device configured to control the ammonia addition device such that a pH value of drum water in the heat recovery steam generator expresses alkalinity equal to or greater than a preset predetermined value, calculate a chlorine ion concentration of drum water on the basis of the acid electrical conductivity measured by the acid electrical conductivity meter, and determine whether leakage of seawater is detected are provided.

Steam valve, power generation system, and inspection method for steam valve

A steam valve has a tubular stop valve configured to move toward an upper end side and a lower end side along an axial direction when the stop valve is opened and closed respectively; and a valve main body configured to accommodate the stop valve. The stop valve has a ring-shaped protrusion portion protruded outwardly in a radial direction. The valve main body has an accommodation space for accommodating the protrusion portion which is divided by the protrusion portion into a first pressure space and a second pressure space. First and second feed/discharge portions configured for adjusting a pressure in the first pressure space and the second pressure space respectively are further provided. The protrusion portion is moved upwardly and downwardly by adjusting the pressure in the first pressure space and the second pressure space.
