HEAT ENGINE
A method for converting heat to mechanical work including providing incoming heat transfer fluid (HTF) at a first temperature to a mixing chamber, providing incoming compressed gas at a second temperature to the mixing chamber, enabling the gas and the HTF to mix, producing a gas- and- HTF mix, enabling the HTF in the gas- and- HTF mix to heat the gas and isotherma l expansion of the gas in the gas- and- HTF mix, limiting volume of the gas-and-HTF mix, thereby increasing pressure of the gas and causing acceleration of a flow of the gas-and-HTF mix, causing the gas-and-HTF mix to eject through a nozzle, thereby converting the heat of the HTF to kinetic energy, and using the kinetic energy to produce mechanical work. Related apparatus and methods are also described.
ALUMINIUM COMBUSTION FOR HEAT GENERATION
Provided is a heat generating arrangement and a method for generation of heat to be used in a heat consumer. The heat generating arrangement uses combustion of aluminium and hydrogen to raise the temperature of superheated steam inside the heat generating arrangement. The heat in the superheated steam can thereafter be used in a heat consumer, such as a heat exchanger.
SUPERCRITICAL FLUID SYSTEMS
Supercritical fluid systems and aircraft power systems are described. The systems include a compressor, a turbine, and a generator. A primary working fluid flow path has a primary working fluid that passes through the compressor, a separator, the turbine, and back to the compressor. A secondary working fluid flow path having a secondary working fluid that passes through the generator, the compressor, the separator, and back to the generator. The primary working fluid and the secondary working fluid are compressed and mixed within the compressor to form a mixture of the two fluids and the separator separates the mixture of the two fluids to direct the primary working fluid back to the turbine and the secondary working fluid to the generator.

Power generation system with rotary liquid piston compressor for transcritical and supercritical compression of fluids
A rotary liquid piston compressor and a power generation system including a first fluid loop. The first fluid loop includes a pump that circulates a liquid. A second fluid loop that generates power by circulating a supercritical fluid. The second fluid loop includes a turbine that rotates and powers a generator as the supercritical fluid flows through the turbine. A rotary liquid piston compressor fluidly coupled to the first fluid loop and the second fluid loop. The rotary liquid piston compressor exchanges pressure between the liquid circulating in the first fluid loop and the supercritical fluid circulating in the second fluid loop.
POWER TRANSMISSION APPARATUS AND POWER GENERATION SYSTEM HAVING SAME
A power transmission apparatus for transmitting power generated by a power generation apparatus to a generator and a power generation system including the same are provided. The power transmission apparatus for transmitting power generated by the power generation apparatus to the generator may include a first disk part connected to one of the power generation apparatus and the generator, a second disk part connected to the other one of the power generation apparatus and the generator and disposed on a rear side of the first disk part, and a connection part configured to connect the first disk part and the second disk part and include a portion that decreases and then increases in diameter along a longitudinal direction.
Water driven turbine steam engine
A closed loop steam engine that transfers its motive power to a flow of water using a steam injector. The resulting water jet then drives a turbine, is cooled in a heat exchanger to extract useful heat and then return to the steam injector water inlet. Part of the flow of water is reused as feed water to the boiler.
