Linear valve actuator system and method for controlling valve operation
The system, according to one embodiment of the present invention, comprises a stationary coil linear motor to drive a valve with a stem comprising a ferromagnetic property. The linear motor moves the valve in response to control governed by an electronic valve control computer. The valve is movable between a closed position at a selectable rate of both acceleration and speed for a selectable distance (“lift”) to a second selectable open position, including all position variations between the fully open and fully closed states. Valve position, velocity and acceleration can be varied both during a valve stroke and from one stroke to the next, as controlled by the logic programmed on a non-transitive memory of the electronic valve control computer.

A continuous variable valve duration system may include a camshaft, a cam portion having a cam is formed thereto. The camshaft is inserted to the cam portion such that a relative phase angle with respect to the camshaft is variable. The camp portion has a cam cap engaging portion, and an inner bracket transmits rotation of the camshaft to the cam portion. A slider housing has the inner bracket rotatably inserted thereto, of which relative position with respect to the camshaft is variable, and of which a control slot is formed. Cam caps rotatably mount the cam cap engaging portion to a cylinder head, and a control portion comprising an eccentric control shaft inserted into the control slot. A worm wheel is connected to the eccentric control shaft, and a worm gear engaged with the worm wheel and a control motor selectively rotates the worm gear so as to change relative position of the slider housing with respect to the camshaft and a cylinder head cover of which a motor mounting portion where the control motor is mounted thereto.
Valve timing adjustment device
A drain port of a hydraulic oil controller is connected to an oil discharge portion. Each of partitions partitions between a corresponding one of drain oil passages and a corresponding one of a retard supply oil passage and an advance supply oil passage. Each of the drain oil passages connects between the oil discharge portion and a corresponding one of a retard chamber and an advance chamber. A recycle oil passage connects between: a portion of each drain oil passage located between the corresponding partition and the drain port; and the retard supply oil passage or the advance supply oil passage. A drain flow restrictor is formed in the portion of each drain oil passage located between the corresponding partition and the drain port. A passage cross-sectional area of the drain flow restrictor is smaller than a smallest passage cross-sectional area of the recycle oil passage and is constant.
Control device and control method of vehicle
A control device for a vehicle including an engine, the engine including an electric VVT mechanism, the electric VVT mechanism that changes a valve timing of at least either one of an intake valve and an exhaust valve, the control device includes an ECU. The ECU is configured to: perform a crankshaft stop position control to control a rotation stop position of a crankshaft during a stop process of stopping the engine, such that a valve opening degree in which at least either one of a first gap between the intake valve and the corresponding valve seat and a second gap between the exhaust valve and the corresponding valve seat is fully closed or becomes a predetermined gap or more is set as a target valve opening degree; and operate the electric VVT mechanism until the valve opening degree reaches the target valve opening degree, when the engine stops.
Variable lift valve train
The variable lift valve train includes a spring-loaded valve that is in mechanical connection with a lever bar. The lever bar is attached to a stroke limiter. The lever bar extends across the spring-loaded valve and the stroke limiter. The lever bar is positioned under a first cam. The angle of the first cam adjusts the angular orientation of the lever bar with respect to the stroke limiter as well as the spring-loaded valve. The stroke limiter is biased via a stroke spring. Moreover, the stroke limiter extends downwardly, and optionally engages against a stroke limiter cam. The stroke limiter cam is optionally able to influence the stroke limiter, and is a secondary influence when compared to the angular orientation of the lever bar. In use, the variable lift valve train is able to adjust the timing and lift of the spring-loaded valve of the engine.
Valve opening and closing timing control device
A valve opening and closing timing control device includes: a driving-side rotating body that rotates synchronously with a crankshaft of an internal combustion engine around a rotating shaft core; a driven-side rotating body that rotates integrally with a valve opening and closing camshaft of the internal combustion engine around the same shaft core as the rotating shaft core; a gear mechanism that sets a relative rotation phase between the driving-side rotating body and the driven-side rotating body by displacement of a meshing position; a motor that enables displacement of the meshing position of the gear mechanism by rotating a rotating shaft; and a control unit that controls the drive of the motor. The control unit intermittently performs control to energize the motor for one phase for a predetermined time after the internal combustion engine is stopped.
SENSOR DEVICE FOR ASCERTAINING AT LEAST ONE ROTATION CHARACTERISTIC OF A ROTATING ELEMENT
A sensor device for ascertaining at least one rotation characteristic of a rotating element is provided. The sensor device includes at least one trigger wheel which is able to be connected to the rotating element. The rotating element and the trigger wheel have an axis of rotation. The sensor device includes at least one coil array. The coil array encompasses at least one excitation coil and at least one receiver coil. The coil array is situated on at least one circuit carrier. The trigger wheel as a trigger wheel profile. The sensor device is designed to ascertain a change in an inductive coupling between the excitation coil and the receiver coil as a function of a position of the trigger wheel. The circuit carrier is situated coaxially with the axis of rotation of the trigger wheel. The circuit carrier surrounds the trigger wheel at least partially in a circular manner.
