AIR-JET DRY POWER INHALER FOR RAPID DELIVERY OF PHARMACEUTICAL AEROSOLS TO INFANTS
Proposed devices operate on positive pressure with as little as 5-6 ml of air and can efficiently empty (emitted doses >80%) and deliver the aerosol to infant lungs (lung delivery efficiency of ˜60% of the loaded dose). Significant features include internal flow structure of the air-jet DPI, automatic gas sources, infant-specific interfaces, small diameter nasopharyngeal tubes, sealed nasal prongs, 3D rod array preceding patient interface, nasal CPAP rapid aerosol delivery system, nasal CPAP streamlined interface, multidose storage and delivery unit, and pressure sensing near the infant airways (at the nasal cannula interface).

Inhaler system
Provided is a system including a plurality of inhalers that each include a processor configured to determine a value of a usage parameter relating to use of the respective first inhaler, encrypt data based on the value, and transmit the encrypted data. At least two of the inhalers include different medicament, such as a rescue medicament and a maintenance medicament. The system includes an external device that includes a processor configured to distinguish between the encrypted data of each respective inhaler, determine respective usage information relating to each of the distinct types of medicament based on the respective encrypted data, and control a user interface (e.g., of the external device) to communicate the usage information related to each inhaler and/or each respective type of medicament.
Inhaler and methods of using and making the same
A dose ring for a dry powder inhaler (DPI) device includes an aluminum foil member covering particulate medication cavities and through holes. The device includes hinged flaps formed by a cut so that one radial side is uncut and forms a hinge. Each flap can cover both a cavity for particulate medication and a through hole located between that cavity and the circular inside edge of the dose ring.
Inhalable formulation of fluticasone propionate and albuterol sulfate
This invention relates to a fixed-dose dry powder inhalation formulation comprising fluticasone propionate and albuterol sulfate, together with an α-lactose monohydrate carrier. In the formulation, the albuterol sulfate stabilises fluticasone propionate.
Endoscopic medical device for dispensing materials and method of use
A medical device including an application device with a first fluid path and a container movably attached to the application device. The container and the application device have a second fluid path therethrough, the container includes an inner chamber that is intermediate proximal and distal portions of the second fluid path, the inner chamber is fluidly isolated from the proximal portion of the second fluid path at a first position of the container, and the inner chamber is fluidly coupled to the proximal and distal portions of the second fluid path at a second position of the container. The first fluid path bypasses the container and the passage of fluid through the first fluid path is separately controllable from the passage of fluid through the second fluid path.

Aseptic cartridge and dispenser arrangement
A cartridge for use with a beneficial agent delivery device having a fillable reservoir. The cartridge includes a reconstitution, unit dose package having first and second compartments, and a fitment. The first compartment contains at least a first constituent of the beneficial agent. The second compartment contains at least a second constituent of the beneficial agent. The fitment is disposed on the package for interfacing the package to the fillable reservoir.
DRY POWDER DRUG DELIVERY SYSTEM AND METHODS
A pulmonary drug delivery system is disclosed, including a breath-powered, dry powder inhaler, with or without a cartridge for delivering a dry powder formulation. The inhaler and cartridge can be provided with a drug delivery formulation comprising, for example, a diketopiperazine and an active ingredient, including, small organic molecules, peptides and proteins, including, hormones such as insulin and glucagon-like peptide 1 for the treatment of disease and disorders, for example, diseases and disorders, including endocrine disease such as diabetes and/or obesity.
NEBULIZER FOR INFANTS AND RESPIRATORY COMPROMISED PATIENTS
An inhaler for dispensing a pharmaceutical to infants and respiratory compromised patients is disclosed.
