Systems and methods for reducing contaminants in a portion of a patient

Systems and methods for reducing pathogens near an implant are discussed. In some cases, the methods include reducing contaminants in a portion of a patient that has an implant and that is disposed interior to a closed surface of skin of the patient. The method can further include placing a conduit in the closed surface of skin and flowing an antimicrobial fluid into that portion of the patient to contact the antimicrobial fluid with a surface of the implant and tissue adjacent to the implant. In some cases, the antimicrobial fluid is then removed from the portion of the patient having the implant. As part of this method, biofilm near the implant can be mechanically, ultrasonically, electrically, chemically, enzymatically, or otherwise disrupted. Other implementations are described.

Humidification of an Environment with KELEA Activated Water to Increase the Availability of Health-Promoting KELEA for Those Present Within the Environment

Illnesses result from individuals having insufficient cellular energy for normal functioning and to respond to various adverse events. In addition to receiving cellular energy from the metabolism of food, living creatures are dependent upon an environmental force termed KELEA, an abbreviation for Kinetic Energy Limiting Electrostatic Attraction. This energy drives what the Applicant refers to as the Alternative Cellular Energy (ACE) Pathway. It is expressed as an added dynamic or kinetic quality of the body's fluids. Water from various natural sources has varying levels of acquired KELEA. Various means are available to increase the level of KELEA in water. KELEA activated water has medicinal qualities in the prevention and cure of illnesses attributed to insufficient cellular energy. It is typically used in individual patients being either consumed as drinking water or used topically on the skin as a spray. The present invention describes the novel use of KELEA activated water in a humidifier to increase the overall environmental level of the KELEA activated water vapor in an enclosed environment. This approach is intended to enhance the ACE pathway of those present for; prolonged periods within such an environment. This can provide both incidental and directed benefits for large groups of individuals. This method is especially applicable when using KELEA activated water which is abundantly available from certain locations, including a location specified in this application.

Decontamination Device for Inhaled and Exhaled Ventilator Gases
20210361892 · 2021-11-25 ·

The invention discloses a decontamination device for decontaminating inhaled and/or exhaled gases in a ventilator. The decontamination device comprises a gas inlet and outlet for inspiratory and expiratory gas flow, and a chamber for gas flow. The chamber is configured to connect the gas inlet and outlet. The chamber comprises at least one ultraviolet (UV) light source integrate inside the chamber that preferably emits in the UVC range, wherein the UV light source is preferably a UVC light-emitting diode. The UV light source is configured to produce UV light to decontaminate contaminants in the inhaled and/or exhaled gases by minimizing the distance between the contaminants in the gas flow and the light source, maintaining the gas flow in a gas flow path long enough to deactivate the contaminants, increasing the intensity of the light source to optimize decontamination, and increasing turbulence to redirect the gas flow and prevent boundary layers and shadowing.

Negative pressure chamber for patient intubation

A chamber for placement over a patient while allowing medical personnel to perform various medical procedures releasing virus, bacteria, or other contaminants, such as tracheal intubation, on the patient, including a frame forming and supporting two sidewalls and a curved center portion extending between the sidewalls of a transparent body, wherein the body includes at least one access hole, and wherein the chamber surrounds the patient's head and one of the sidewalls deforms around the patient's body in order to capture and exhaust any of the virus, bacteria, or other contaminants released by the patient during the medical procedure. A method of using the chamber of to perform a medical procedure on a patient releasing virus, bacteria, or other contaminants.

Blood Processing Apparatus And Method For Detoxifying Bacterial Lipopolysaccharide
20210361846 · 2021-11-25 ·

A detoxification method includes the steps of inducing flow of patient blood through an extracorporeal device inlet and outlet in fluid connection to the circulatory system of a patient. Biological agents including lipopolysaccharide (LPS) contained within patient blood can be detoxified by passing patient blood over a biochemical reactor surface having attached or immobilized Saccharomyces boulardii alkaline phosphatase enzyme, with the biochemical reactor being contained within the extracorporeal device. An acyloxyacyl hydrolase enzyme may also be used on the biochemical reactor surface.

A patient airway dome including an adjustable frame having a hinge such that the hinge allows the frame to adjust between an erected position to create an airway dome and a collapsed position that allows the frame to lay flat, a dome covering located over the retractable frame, a suction port which is connected to a conventional device in order to provide negative pressure to patient airway dome, and an arm access assembly operatively connected to the dome covering, wherein the arm access assembly includes an opening in the dome covering and a closure assembly located adjacent to the opening.

System for its use to treat Leukemia
11173321 · 2021-11-16 ·

A system to be used to treat Leukemia, comprises a device to power, control and monitor an ultraviolet radiation as well as to monitor a blood contactless conductivity; and a catheter assembly with an inner dialysis catheter, an ultraviolet radiation source and a differential coil sensor. The system is using wavelengths of ultraviolet radiation to destroy infectious microbes that are in the blood and that are inside circulating tumor cells directly and indirectly as well as to destroy infectious microbes at primary tumor location (bone marrow). This is done without withdrawing the blood out of the body. Furthermore, the system measures a blood conductivity to evaluate the treatment process in a real time during the operation.
