There is provided an installation structure for an oil control valve configured to control a hydraulic pressure to a variable valve device, in an engine in which a cylinder head cover is provided on a cylinder head, and the variable valve device that is configured to change an opening and closing timing of a valve by a hydraulic pressure is mounted. The installation structure includes: a first slope that slopes upward and rearward from a front end on an upper surface of the cylinder head cover; and a second slope that slopes downward and rearward from a rear end of the first slope on the upper surface of the cylinder head cover. A radiator is installed in front of the cylinder head cover, and the oil control valve is installed on the second slope.

Internal combustion engine

An internal combustion engine includes a cylinder head including an intake port, an exhaust port, a water jacket, an intake valve, an exhaust valve, an intake valve seat, and an exhaust valve seat. The water jacket is positioned between the intake port and the exhaust port. The intake valve includes an intake valve head, and the exhaust valve includes an exhaust valve head. The intake valve contacts an intake valve seat surface of the intake valve seat. The exhaust valve head contacts an exhaust valve seat surface of the exhaust valve seat. The shortest distance between the water jacket and the intake valve seat surface is shorter than the shortest distance between the water jacket and the exhaust valve seat surface.

The invention relates to a cylinder head (1) for an internal combustion engine having at least one cylinder, having at least one valve seat ring (3) for a lifting valve, wherein the valve seat ring (3) is surrounded by an annular cooling duct (4) for a coolant that is at least partly molded into the cylinder head (1), wherein the cooling duct (4) at least partly surrounds the valve seat ring and extends between an inlet (5, 15, 25) and at least one outlet (6). In order to reduce the valve wear, provision is made for a plurality of inlets (5, 15, 25) to open into the cooling duct (4), wherein the inlets (5, 15, 25) are preferably arranged asymmetrically in relation to a meridian plane () of the valve seat ring (3) through the outlet (6).

A valve for a pressurizable enclosure includes a valve head provided at a first portion of the valve, a connecting portion extending between the first portion and a second portion of the valve, a chamber comprising a hollow portion, and a first body disposed within the chamber. The valve head is configured to selectively permit fluid flow into or out of the pressurizable enclosure. The hollow portion of the chamber is provided at least partially within the connecting portion and configured to contain a filler material. The first body is configured to be movable within the chamber during valve operation.
