Engine assembly

The present disclosure is directed towards an engine assembly comprising a crankcase, a crankshaft, a lubrication system and fluid guide arrangement. During rotation the crankshaft is configured to drive a crankcase fluid flow in a crankcase chamber. The lubrication system comprises a lubricant drain for a drain fluid flow therethrough extending to a drain aperture at the crankcase chamber. The fluid guide arrangement is located adjacent or in proximity to the drain aperture. The fluid guide arrangement is configured for guiding crankcase fluid flow away from the drain aperture and/or for reducing the pressure of the crankcase fluid flow past the drain aperture, such that drain fluid flows from the lubricant drain.

CAM-FOLLOWER LUBRICATION SYSTEMS

A system comprises a follower lever and a follower roller rotatably coupled to the follower lever. A pin is rotatably coupled to the follower roller, the pin comprising a first outer portion including a first diameter and a second outer portion including a second diameter. A central portion is positioned between the first outer portion and the second outer portion, the central portion including a third diameter, the third diameter being smaller than the first diameter and the second diameter. One or more first channels is defined by the first outer portion, the one or more first channels positioned within the first outer portion and configured to direct fluid away from the central portion as the pin rotates.

CONTROLLER AND CONTROL METHOD FOR VEHICLE
20220099005 · 2022-03-31 · ·

A controller for a vehicle that includes an internal combustion includes processing circuitry. The processing circuitry obtains a predicted temperature outside the vehicle and estimates the viscosity of a lubricating oil based on the oil pressure and the oil temperature of the lubricating oil when the internal combustion engine satisfies a specific operation condition. When the processing circuitry determines that there is a likelihood of a cranking failure occurring in the internal combustion engine on condition that the predicted temperature is less than a threshold value that is based on the viscosity, the processing circuitry outputs a notification signal indicating that that there is a likelihood of a cranking failure occurring in the internal combustion engine.
