Heat exchanger for an apparatus
In one embodiment, there is provided a heat exchanger for equipment, having: at least one phase change material; and at least one heat exchange interface for heat exchange between the phase change material and a fluid flowing within, into and/or from a replaceable fluid container for the equipment, the replaceable fluid container having at least one fluid port adapted to couple to a fluid circulation system of the equipment when the replaceable container is coupled to a dock.
Engine oil warm up using inductive heating
Methods and systems are provided for preemptively heating engine oil prior to an engine start using an inductive heating mat. In one example, a method may include coupling a magnetic field between a primary coil housed in the inductive heating mat and a ferrous oil pan to inductively heat engine oil contained in the oil pan. While maintaining engine oil temperature above a threshold temperature, heated engine oil may then be circulated through engine components to warm up the engine prior to engine start.
Systems and method for enabling quick cold starting
A method of reducing cold startup time of a genset includes providing a lubricant to the genset at predetermined time intervals before a genset startup. The lubricant is heated to a predetermined lubricant temperature using an external heating system. A high temperature coolant of the genset is heated to greater than a predetermined high temperature coolant temperature. The speed of the engine is ramped to a target speed continuously without pausing at a speed lower than the target speed. Genset electrical parameters of the genset are synchronized to utility grid or load electrical parameters of the utility grid or load. The genset is electrically coupled to the utility grid or load such that the synchronizing and electrically coupling are performed within a predetermined synchronization time. A fueling rate and a spark timing is adjusted based on a power being produced by the genset.
Cooling device and motor vehicle with a cooling device
A cooling device for a motor vehicle may include: a liquid-cooled turbocharger arranged on an internal combustion engine; a coolant feed line; a coolant discharge line; and a heat exchanger arranged at least partially within an oil container. The coolant discharge line is connected by an oil preheating line to the heat exchanger.
Heat Exchanger Assembly With Integrated Valve With Pressure Relief Feature For Hot And Cold Fluids
An assembly includes a valve integration unit attached to a transmission oil heater. The valve integration unit includes a valve mechanism and a housing having first to sixth fluid ports for oil input and output. The interior space of the housing has three portions, including a second portion defining a valve chamber and a third portion defining a bypass flow passage between the first and second portions. The valve mechanism has a temperature responsive actuator and first, second and third valve elements. The movement of the first and second valve elements is actuated by the temperature responsive actuator. The third valve element and the third valve opening are located in the second portion of the interior space. The third valve element is actuatable in response to a pressure differential between the first and second portions of the interior space.
CONTROL DEVICE OF HYBRID VEHICLE
A control device of a hybrid vehicle including an engine, a power transmission device, a mechanical oil pump, an electric oil pump, a first rotating machine, and a second rotating machine, the control device comprises: a hybrid control portion; and a pump control portion controlling the first rotating machine to rotate the mechanical oil pump so as to cause the mechanical oil pump to discharge the hydraulic oil when it is determined that the temperature of the hydraulic oil is lower than the predetermined oil temperature, and controlling the motor dedicated to the electric oil pump to cause the electric oil pump to discharge the hydraulic oil when it is determined that the temperature of the hydraulic oil is higher than the predetermined oil temperature, at the time of running in the motor running mode.
VEHICLE AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE SAME
A vehicle may include a driving motor supplying driving force to vehicle wheel; a power converter using a coil provided in the driving motor to transform power input from the external power source; a battery charged according to counter electromotive force of the driving motor in a regenerative braking mode, charged according to the power transformed by the power converter in a charging mode, and supplying driving power to the driving motor in a driving mode; an oil pump supplying oil to the driving motor; a detector detecting temperature of the oil; and a controller controlling the oil pump to be operated in a warm-up mode when the oil temperature detected by the detector is less than a first threshold temperature and the battery is in the charging mode, and applying reference power to the oil pump to move the oil to the driving motor in the warm-up mode.
Thermal management unit for vehicle powertrain
A thermal management unit for a vehicle powertrain includes an integrated oil heater, a control valve, and a pressure relief valve. A remote oil cooler is connected to fluid ports of the thermal management unit. Transmission oil is received into the thermal management unit and is directed to one or both of the transmission oil heater and the transmission oil cooler. A portion of the flow of oil can be internally bypassed through the pressure relief valve to maintain the pressure of the oil below a threshold. The flow of oil is directed through the control valve after having been heated and/or cooled, and the proportions of oil being directed through the oil heater and the oil cooler are determined by the temperature of the oil in the control valve.
Oil separator
The objective is to improve the oil trapping rate of an oil separator. The oil separator separates gas and liquid in air containing oil, recovers liquid that contains oil. The oil separator is provided with an introduction port for introducing air, an oil trap for trapping oil contained in air, a reservoir for storing the liquid flowing out of the oil trap, and a discharge port for discharging air from which oil has been removed. The oil trap includes a glass fiber filter and an impingement member, which traps oil particles by causing the oil particles to strike the impingement member.
Internal combustion engine
An internal combustion engine includes: a cylinder head (3); a combustion chamber recess (15) formed in the cylinder head; an intake passage (16) and an exhaust passage (17) formed in the cylinder head and communicating with the combustion chamber recess; a head oil passage (80) formed in the cylinder head, and having a first end (81A) communicating with an oil pump (62) and a second end (81B) opening out at a sliding contact surface of a valve actuating mechanism (23) provided in the cylinder head; and an oil jacket (84) formed in the cylinder head in a path of the head oil passage so as to at least partly surround the exhaust passage.
