An oil temperature control assembly mounts on a vehicle's operating group fluidically connected to an oil circulation system and a cooling system. A heat exchanger has plate-shaped exchanger elements defining reciprocally alternate ducts through which oil and refrigerant fluid flow, and a support and oil control device. The support and oil control device has a plate-shaped base element including the oil inlet and outlet ducts having a first surface in contact and engageable by the heat exchanger and a second opposite surface. The support and oil control device includes a control group having a housing body projecting from the first surface next to the heat exchanger having a housing cavity fluidically connected to the inlet and outlet ducts and an exchanger duct and a valve member in the housing cavity including an obturator element and a control element which moves the obturator element according to oil operating conditions.

Control system for hybrid vehicle

A control system for a hybrid vehicle configured to suppress a temperature rise in a transmission while achieving a required driving force without modifying a cooling system. If a temperature in the transmission is lower than a threshold level during propulsion in a hybrid mode, a controller operates an engine at an optimally fuel efficient point. If the temperature in the transmission system is equal to or higher than the threshold level during propulsion in a hybrid mode, the controller shifts the operating point of the engine to the point at which the heat generation in the transmission system can be suppressed.

Oil sump housing for outboard motor

A cooling system for an outboard motor of a marine vessel is provided. The cooling system includes an oil sump housing having an inner housing wall and an outer housing wall. The inner housing wall defines a transmission mounting cavity, and the inner housing wall and the outer housing wall defines an oil containment cavity that at least partially surrounds the transmission mounting cavity. The cooling system further includes a first sprayer nozzle and a second sprayer nozzle. Both the first sprayer nozzle and the second sprayer nozzle are coupled to the oil sump housing and configured to spray cooling fluid within the transmission mounting cavity onto an inner surface of the inner housing wall.

GDCI engine with accelerated oil warm-up

A piston oil squirter is selectively opened when an oil temperature is below a threshold oil temperature to transfer heat from the combustion chamber and heat the oil more rapidly when the engine is cold.

A cooling system including a first sheet steel item having a first surface configured to accommodate one or more objects to be cooled, and a second surface joined to a first surface of a second sheet steel item forming a shell. The items may be joined by a weld, a rivet or a plurality thereof. At least one of the second surface of the first sheet steel item and the first surface of the second sheet steel item may be formed to produce one or more conduits for forming one or more channels, whereby said joining forms said channels for coolant in a space between the second surface of the first sheet steel item and the first surface of the second sheet steel item.
