An adapter replaces a crankcase screw-on oil filter for an internal combustion engine and couples pressurized oil in the engine's crankcase with at least one external component. The adapter includes a valve that prevents backflow of oil from the external component to the crankcase.

Valve spring retainer incorporating lubrication oil trap

A valve spring retainer for an internal combustion engine includes a body having a lower portion and an upper portion. The lower portion defines a radial flange and a first opening extending axially therethrough. The upper portion includes a first wall and a re-entrant lip. The first wall extends at least partially axially away from an outer perimeter edge of the radial flange. Together, the first wall and the radial flange define an open reservoir for receiving and retaining oil therein. The re-entrant lip extends from an outer end of the first wall at least partially radially inward toward a central axis of the first opening. The re-entrant lip extends over a portion of the reservoir defined by the first wall and the radial flange.

Lubrication passageway for lubrication of cam follower assembly

A cam follower assembly is provided including an improved lubricant flowpath. The assembly includes a generally cylindrical housing including an annular groove adapted to be in communication with a lubricant gallery in an engine block or cylinder head. An axial end of the housing includes skirt portions including openings, and one of the skirt portions includes a first recessed section indented from an outer lateral surface of the housing and extending axially between the annular groove and a respective one of the openings. A pin is mounted in the openings of the skirt portions and has a second recessed section indented from an outer lateral surface of the pin that extends to at least one of the ends of the pin. The second recessed section is in communication with the first recessed section, and a cam roller supported on the pin.

A lubrication system for an internal combustion engine of a work vehicle includes an engine oil sump and a pump unit fluidly connected to the engine oil sump to receive engine oil therefrom. The pump unit, in turn, includes a first oil pump comprising a variable displacement pump, a second oil pump, a drive line mechanically coupled to the first oil pump and the second oil pump that drives each of the pumps, and a manifold that directs engine oil from the engine oil sump to the first and second oil pumps. A first oil circuit is fluidly coupled to the first oil pump to direct a first flow of engine oil to piston spray jets in the engine and a second oil circuit is fluidly coupled to the second oil pump to direct a second flow of engine oil to one or more oiled engine components in the engine.

ENGINE VALVE LIFTER ANTI-ROTATION DEVICE

An engine roller lifter for use in a valve train of an internal combustion engine includes a body, an anti-rotation device and a clip. The body can have an outer peripheral surface configured for sliding movement in a bore provided in the engine. The body can define a receiving channel formed in the outer peripheral surface. The body can further define a slot formed at the receiving channel. The anti-rotation device can include a guide plug received in the receiving channel of the body. The guide plug can extend outwardly from the outer peripheral surface of the body. The guide plug can be configured to locate into a bore slot defined in a cylinder head of the internal combustion engine. The clip can be received by the slot and captured the guide plug in the receiving channel.

Four-stroke engine

A four-stroke engine includes an oil tank, a crankshaft chamber, a distribution chamber, a rocker chamber, a combustion chamber, and a lubricating system. The oil tank is communicated with the crankshaft chamber through an oil supply channel. The four-stroke engine further comprises a cam and a transmission mechanism connected between the cam and a crankshaft of the crankshaft chamber in a matched manner. The cam is matched with a rocker of the rocker chamber and located above the combustion chamber.
