BRANCHED CONNECTOR AND CATHETER
An object is to provide a catheter and a branched connector that can improve sealing properties and have high versatility. In a branched connector 40 used in a catheter 100, the branched connector 40 comprises a first end portion 44 to which a catheter main body 10 is attached and having a first hole portion 43 communicating with the catheter main body 10 being formed at the first end portion 44, and a second end portion 49 including an elastic member and having a second hole portion 48 for inserting a wire-like instrument 20 being formed in the elastic member, and the second hole portion 48 communicates with the first hole portion 43 and has a flow passage area smaller than a flow passage area of the first hole portion 43.
An Enema Nozzle and an Enema Device Comprising Said Enema Nozzle
Provided is an enema nozzle for an enema device. Said enema nozzle includes an insertion body with a flexible insertion tip. The flexible insertion tip is located at the insertion end of the insertion body, and said tip will flex when it abuts intestinal tissue. This will provide a smoother insertion, which effectively will alleviate the physical discomfort and pain that a patient may expire during insertion of an enema nozzle.
TRACHEOSTOMA DEVICE HOLDER
A tracheostoma device holder (10) for holding a tracheostoma device to a tracheostoma of a person is provided. The tracheostoma device holder (10) comprises a head portion (50) for engaging with a tracheostoma device and a fixation portion (20) for fixating the tracheostoma device holder (10) to the tracheostoma of the person. At least a portion of the fixation portion (20) is provided with a deformable material (60).
HEADGEAR WITH COVERED EDGE
A headgear assembly includes a strap of a first flexible material with an elongate edge, and a second flexible material folded around and running along the elongate edge. The second flexible material may be an elastic material. The second flexible material may also cover an intersection or joint in the first flexible material such that the first flexible material may be made from two flexible materials layered together or joined end to end.
Split and side-ported catheter devices
A catheter for use in medical applications is disclosed. The catheter comprises tubing with a tip hole at one end and an end portion at the other end. Fluid exits the catheter at the tip hole thereof. One or more alternative fluid pathway(s) are provided on the sidewall of the catheter to permit outflow of fluid medication from the catheter to ensure proper delivery of the medication to the intended target area, particularly when the tip opening is occluded or restricted for any reason.
Flush device and irrigation line
A flush device including: a first housing provided with a first flow path; a second housing provided with a second flow path, the second housing being coupled to the first housing; a flow control device including a protrusion and a through hole connecting the first flow path to the second flow path in fluid communication; and an elastic member provided around the base of the flow control device to seal off a space between the first and the second flow paths. The elastic member is deformed to further connect the first and second flow paths in fluid communication. The first housing has an inner periphery provided with fitting receiving portions each being fitted to each of the fitting projections of the protrusion. According to this structure, the flush device can discharge a chemical liquid at a flow rate close to a defined amount.
Coupling apparatus for infusion device
An infusion device for the passage of fluids to or from a patient via a syringe. The infusion device includes a valve assembly and a coupling apparatus. The coupling apparatus comprises a coupler, a first gland, a cannula, a second gland, and an inlet. The coupling apparatus defines a central lumen for the passage of fluids in an open configuration. The inlet may be coupled to a syringe.
THORACIC CATHETER PROTECTOR POUCH
A thoracic catheter protector pouch (1) to be worn by an adult, person or infant has a band (2) that encircles a body portion, such as a chest or arm, and a medial pocket portion (5) for holding a catheter tube (10) and connector end (11). The pocket portion has an inner panel (15) with a catheter tube securement strap (14) and two flaps (3 and 4) which open to insert a catheter and close over each other securely by fasteners (6 and 7) preferably hook and loop fastening material. The band is preferably elastomeric and is size adjustable.
Device activation impact/shock reduction
A drug delivery device includes a container for storing a drug having a longitudinal axis. A plunger rod aligned with the longitudinal axis of the container has a first end and a second end, where the second end is disposed within the container. A stopper is disposed in and movable relative to the container for expelling the drug, and a drive mechanism is operatively coupled to the first end of the plunger rod. The drive mechanism is configured to deliver a drive force to move the plunger rod along the longitudinal axis and through the container. A chamber disposed between a plunger rod and the stopper is adapted to oppose the drive force of the drive mechanism.
Sleep performance system and method of use
Sleep performance systems and methods of using the same are disclosed. The sleep performance systems can improve the quality of sleep by making one or more recommendations to the subject for increasing a sleep quality score. The sleep performance systems can have one or more electroencephalography (EEG) electrodes configured to measure a subject's brain activity during sleep. The sleep performance systems can have a processor configured to quantify the quality of the subject's slow-wave sleep by determining one or more sleep performance scores associated with the measured brain activity. The sleep performance systems can recommend and/or activate sleep improvement programs based on various threshold scores.
