Attachable fluid leak capture assembly for vehicles
An attachable fluid leak capture assembly including a mesh carrier having an absorbing media pad embedded therein, and an attachment mechanism for attaching the mesh carrier to a leaking vehicle or machinery part. A method of capturing fluids from vehicles or machines, by attaching the attachable fluid leak capture assembly to a vehicle or machine part leaking fluid through the attachment mechanism and absorbing the leaking fluid onto the absorbing media pad.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DIAGNOSING A CONDITION OF AN ENGINE BASED ON VOLCANIC ASH
A method and system for diagnosing a condition of an air-breathing aircraft engine are described. The method comprises obtaining a sample of lubricating fluid from the engine, filtering the sample to obtain a plurality of particles from the lubricating fluid, obtaining chemical composition data for the plurality of particles, determining a quantity of volcanic ash in the lubricating fluid by considering each one of the particles as composed partially of volcanic ash and partially of at least one other material and determining a first percentage of surface area of the particles covered by the volcanic ash and a second percentage of the surface area of the particles covered by the at least one other material, the volcanic ash having associated thereto a predetermined chemical composition, and diagnosing a condition of the engine based on the quantity of volcanic ash found in the lubricating fluid.
Blow-by device
Disclosed is a blow-by device comprising a connection piece and a coupling piece that can be connected to each other. A ring is provided on which a connector collar for a connector is provided in order to establish an electrical connection in connection pieces that are connected to the coupling piece. The ring may be positioned on the connection piece.
VEHICLE MONITORING SYSTEM
A system detects a parameter and generates a first trip plan to automatically control the vehicle according to a first trip plan. A controller is connected to a sensor and configured to receive the parameter. The controller is configured to generate a new trip plan or modify the first trip plan into a modified trip plan based on at least one of a cumulative damage or an end of life date. A new trip plan or the modified trip plan is configured, during operation of the vehicle according to the new trip plan or the modified trip plan, for at least one of an adjustment in velocity or avoiding one or more operating conditions of the vehicle, relative to the first trip plan.

Internal combustion engine control device, and control method
In order to prevent an abnormal combustion due to oil, a restriction region (B) is designated on a low-speed and high-load side of an internal combustion engine (1), and an opening of throttle valve (12) is restricted so that an engine operating condition is not observed within the restriction region (B). A predetermined designated inspection region (A) is set so as to include the restriction region (B), and it is judged whether or not the abnormal combustion actually occurred when the internal combustion engine (1) is running within the designated inspection region (A). If the abnormal combustion was detected, the restriction region (B) is expanded, meanwhile, if the abnormal combustion was not detected, the expanded restriction region (B) is gradually decreased. If the abnormal combustion occurred at a shorter interval than a threshold value, the restriction region (B) is expanded at once to a predetermined size.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR LUBRICANT DILUTION DETECTION
Systems and methods for lubricant dilution detection are disclosed. A method for detecting lubricant dilution for a lubrication system includes detecting a low idle condition. The method includes receiving sensed values indicative of lubricant pressure and lubricant temperature during the low idle condition. The method also includes determining a lubricant pressure threshold based on the sensed value indicative of lubricant temperature. The method further includes determining lubricant dilution based on the sensed value indicative of lubricant pressure and the determined lubricant pressure threshold during the low idle condition. In accordance with a determination that there is lubricant dilution, the method includes outputting an indication of the lubricant dilution.
