Provided is an exhaust gas treatment apparatus for ships including: a reaction tower supplied with exhaust gas containing particle matter and with liquid for treating the exhaust gas and configured to discharge exhausted liquid obtained by treating the exhaust gas; and a heating unit configured to heat discharged material containing the exhausted liquid to evaporate at least a part of moisture contained in the discharged material. The apparatus may further include a first storage unit configured to store first discharged material containing the particle matter removed from the exhausted liquid and a part of the exhausted liquid. The heating unit may heat the first storage unit. The apparatus may further include a second storage unit configured to store second discharged material containing the exhausted liquid from which at least a part of the particle matter has been removed. The heating unit may heat the second storage unit.
Systems and methods associated with bottoming cycle power systems for generating power and capturing carbon dioxide
A method of generating electrical power includes expanding a flow of exhaust gas from a combustion process as the exhaust gas passes through a turbo-expander disposed on a turbo-crankshaft. The flow of exhaust gas from the turbo-expander is routed through a first flow path of an exhaust gas heat exchanger. The flow of exhaust gas from the first flow path is compressed as the exhaust gas passes through a turbo-compressor disposed on the turbo-crankshaft. The flow of exhaust gas from the turbo-compressor is routed through a second flow path of the exhaust gas heat exchanger. Heat from the first flow path is transferred to the second flow path to cool the exhaust gas in the first flow path and heat the exhaust gas in the second flow path. Electrical power is generated from a generator disposed on the turbo-crankshaft.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MOBILE CARBON CAPTURE
A system for mobile carbon capture, preferably including a capture module, a regeneration module, and a storage module 130. The system can optionally include a thermal control module and/or a dehumidifier. A method for mobile carbon capture, preferably including adsorbing a target species, desorbing the target species, and storing the target species. The method can optionally include pre-treating input gas, offloading stored species, and/or regenerating desiccators.
Silencer for fuel cell vehicles
Disclosed is a silencer for fuel cell vehicles. The silencer for fuel cell vehicles includes a housing having an inlet configured to receive air and hydrogen flowing into the housing therethrough, an outlet, and a condensation water drain hole configured to discharge condensation water to the outside therethrough, a distribution plate disposed in the housing and having distribution holes to distribute air and hydrogen flowing into the housing, a rotary plate disposed in the housing closer to the outlet than the distribution plate, a motor connected to the rotary plate to rotate the rotary plate, and an anti-freezing unit extending from one end of the rotary plate to the condensation water drain hole.
EXHAUST GAS TREATMENT ARRANGEMENT FOR AN EXHAUST GAS SYSTEM OF AN INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
An exhaust gas treatment arrangement for an exhaust gas system of an internal combustion engine includes an exhaust gas channel leading to a flow path switching unit. The flow path switching unit is configured for changing exhaust gas parts of an exhaust gas stream flowing through the exhaust gas channel, which are conducted into first and second exhaust gas flow paths downstream of the flow path switching unit. The first exhaust gas flow path and the second exhaust gas flow path lead to an exhaust gas outlet. An SCR catalyst unit is in the first exhaust gas flow path upstream of the exhaust gas outlet. A liquid bypass line drains liquid from a liquid collection region in the exhaust gas channel upstream relative to the switching unit. The liquid is drained to a liquid discharge region for discharging liquid into the second flow path downstream of the switching unit.
Control device for internal combustion engine and control method for internal combustion engine
Provided is a control device for an internal combustion engine. The internal combustion engine includes, in an exhaust passage, an electrically heated catalyst device in which a catalyst is supported on a conductive base material) that generates heat when energized. The control device includes an electronic control unit configured to control the internal combustion engine such that, in a case where condensate is generated in the exhaust passage on the upstream side of the catalyst device in an exhaust flow direction, an engine output in a region where an engine load is equal to or greater than a predetermined load becomes smaller than in a case where condensate is not generated.
