Heat exchange module
A heat exchange module including a corrugated top heat exchange substrate and a corrugated bottom heat exchange substrate, and tubes that extend in a width direction (W) between the top and bottom substrates in heat exchanging contact with ridges of the substrates. A top and a bottom casing member contacts the substrates and each has a transverse side wall with slits oriented in the transverse direction (T) and accommodating the tubes. The side walls of the top and bottom casing members overlap and are mutually connected by soldering or brazing.
Asymmetrical channel structure of particulate trap filter body
A particulate trap filter body has asymmetrical channels. The cross-sectional shape of the asymmetrical channel structure includes a combination of hexagonal, square and triangular shapes. The hexagonal channel and the triangular channel act as inlet channel, and the square channel acts as outlet channel. Compared with the traditional symmetrical filter body structure, the inlet channel volume and filter body wall area can be effectively increased by more than 30%, which means that with capturing the same amount of particles, the particle cake layer formed on the wall surface is thinner. The limiting carbon load of the new channel structure is increased by more than 30%, having a very positive effect on reducing the regeneration frequency and prolonging the service life of the trap.
SYSTEM FOR EXHAUST GAS PURIFICATION OF INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINES
System (1) for the purification of exhaust gases (S) of an endothermic engine (100), comprising at least one duct (2) for exhausting the gases produced by said endothermic engine, means (3) for cooling said exhaust gases which cross said duct (2) so that to cause, at least in part, the condensation of the water vapor contained in said exhaust gases in water (AC), and means (4) for separating the condensed water (AC), which is condensed by said cooling means along the exhaust duct, from the exhaust gases and for deviating it along a secondary duct (10), said system being characterized by further comprising filtering means (5), which are arranged downstream of said separating means (4) along said secondary duct (10), for filtering said condensed and separated water (AC).

Vehicle control device
A vehicle includes an internal combustion engine. The internal combustion engine includes an exhaust passage, and a filter for collecting particulate matter contained in the exhaust gas. The vehicle includes a cooling fan for circulating air around a radiator and the filter. A control device of the vehicle executes an accumulated amount calculation process for calculating a particulate matter accumulated amount. The control device executes a regeneration process under a condition that the particulate matter accumulated amount exceeds a specified amount. The regeneration process is a process for regenerating the filter when the particulate matter collected on the filter is combusted. The control device executes a fan drive process for driving the cooling fan. When the regeneration process is being executed, the control device executes the fan drive process regardless of a coolant temperature under a condition that a vehicle speed is smaller than a specified speed.
Tunable sound attenuating modules
Aspects of the present disclosure include a casing comprising an air inlet and an air outlet, a fan configured to move air from the air inlet to the air outlet, and a tunable sound attenuating module having an opening at a first end of the tunable sound attenuating module, a cavity, and a back wall at a second end of the tunable sound attenuating module, wherein: the tunable sound attenuating module is oriented such that the back wall is closer to the fan than the opening, and a length of tunable sound attenuating module is substantially one fourth of the acoustic wavelength of a sound generated by the fan.
Self-cleaning prime mover exhaust system and method
This disclosure relates generally to a prime mover system. Rollover safe electrolysis unit for vehicles
Safety of vehicles employing an electrolysis generator is improved by a rollover abatement system.
Apparatus, system and method for thermal management by deploying engine fueling on demand
A method includes receiving information indicative of a temperature of exhaust gas emitted from an engine operating at an engine speed, determining that the temperature of the exhaust gas is below a predefined temperature threshold, determining an engine load sized to increase the temperature of the exhaust gas above the predefined temperature threshold, increasing a load on the engine to the determined engine load while maintaining the engine at the engine speed by increasing at least one of a fuel flow rate and a fuel flow pressure of the fuel pump powered by the engine, and diverting the excess fuel from the fuel flow path upstream of the engine. Increasing at least one of the fuel flow rate and the fuel pressure of the fuel pump causes excess fuel to be provided to the engine than is necessary to maintain the engine at the engine speed.
