Heating device for medical solutions
There is disclosed a heating device which is adapted to be used to warm medical solutions contained within medical devices such as an intravenous bag, intravenous tube or respiratory circuit. The heating device includes an elongated flexible material tube having an interior medical solution channel and a pair of heat channels. The heat channels are filled or coated with a flexible, electrically conductive substance, which forms an electrical resistor. The conductive substance is electrically coupled to an electric power source controller. Electric current passing through the conductive substance creates heat which is transferred from the heat channels to the medical solution contained within the interior medical solution channel.

The snap dome is initially in contact with the switch, in fluid communication with the fluid path, and configured to snap out of contact with the switch when a pressure within the snap dome decreases below a predetermined pressure.
Liquid store for an inhaler, in particular for an electronic cigarette product
The invention relates to a liquid store for an inhaler (10), in particular for an electronic cigarette product, having an outlet end (53) which can be fluidically connected to a heating element (60) in order to evaporate liquid (50) supplied to the heating element (60) from the liquid store (18). The liquid store (18) has at least one air inlet end (52) and at least one channel (51). The channel (51) extends from the air inlet end (52) to the outlet end (53) through the liquid store (18), wherein the channel (51) is designed to transfer the liquid (50) stored in the liquid store (18) to the outlet end (53) through the channel (51) via capillary forces.
INTEGRATED CLOSED-LOOP ARTIFICIAL PANCREAS AND DATA OBTAINING METHOD FOR PROGRAM MODULE THEREOF
An integrated closed-loop artificial pancreas includes: a detection module; a program module which is imported into the total daily dose algorithm and the current insulin infusion algorithm; and an infusion module which is connected to the program module. The infusion module includes an infusion tube which is used as the insulin infusion channel, the detecting electrodes are provided on/in the wall of the infusion tube, and the infusion module can infuse insulin required according to the data of the current insulin infusion dose. It takes only one insertion to perform both glucose detection and insulin infusion.
CPAP SYSTEM
An apparatus for humidifying a flow of breathable gas includes a water reservoir and a water reservoir dock forming a cavity structured and arranged to receive the water reservoir in an operative position. The water reservoir comprises a reservoir base including a cavity structured to hold a volume of water, the reservoir base including a main body and a thermally conductive portion provided to the main body. The thermally conductive portion comprises a combined layered arrangement including a metal plate and a thin film, the thin film comprising a non-metallic material and including a wall thickness of less than about 1 mm. The thin film is adapted to form at least a bottom interior surface of the water reservoir exposed to the volume of water, and the metal plate is adapted to form a bottom exterior surface of the water reservoir.
DEVICES, SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR SENSING AND DISCERNING BETWEEN FAT AND MUSCLE TISSUE DURING MEDICAL PROCEDURES
The present disclosure is directed to devices, systems, and methods for sensing and discerning whether a distal portion of a fat grafting cannula or probe is disposed in fat tissue or muscle tissue during fat grafting procedures. In one aspect of the present disclosure, a fat grafting cannula or probe is provided including first and second electrodes. Each electrode is coupled to a circuit, e.g., disposed in an electrosurgical generator. During a fat grafting procedure, the electrodes contact patient tissue. Based on signals received from each electrode, the circuit is configured to determine whether a distal portion of the fat grafting cannula is disposed in a fat tissue or muscle tissue. If the circuit determines that the fat grafting cannula is disposed in muscle tissue, the surgeon operating the fat grafting cannula is alerted to ensure that processed fat is not injected into the muscle tissue of the patient.
