Constraints on arrangement of catalysts are reduced, and early activation and long-term performance maintenance of the catalysts are both achieved. An exhaust pipe includes a first catalyst provided in a first exhaust pipe extending upward on the side of an exhaust manifold, and a second catalyst provided in a second exhaust pipe that extends downward from a bent pipe extending from the first exhaust pipe and that is adjacent to the first exhaust pipe. The second catalyst is disposed at a position offset to a higher location from an up-down middle position of the first exhaust pipe.

Multiple duct system for conveying exhaust gas from oceangoing vessels to a treatment system
11325687 · 2022-05-10 ·

A multi-circuit system for temporarily connecting to a plurality of exhaust pipes of an oceangoing vessel at berth or at anchor and treating captured exhaust gas. Each circuit includes an exhaust gas processing system, a duct system to reach from the processing system to an exhaust pipe; a duct inlet port for attachment to a connector receiving exhaust gas from an exhaust pipe. A positioning system supports the duct systems and connectors in a ganged relationship and positions the duct systems and connectors in a temporary operational position and in a non-operational position. In another embodiment, blower controller is responsive to a pressure measurement at the duct inlet port or the connector to control a blower speed to set or maintain the pressure to a desired pressure.

Exhaust pipe apparatus and ship comprising same

The present disclosure relates to an exhaust pipe apparatus. The exhaust pipe apparatus includes a first exhaust pipe provided to directly discharge exhaust gas discharged from a combustion engine to the outside, a second exhaust pipe connected in parallel with the first exhaust pipe and having a branch pipe connected to one side thereof such that the exhaust gas is directly discharged to the outside or discharged through the branch pipe, and a first damper installed in the second exhaust pipe to control a flow of the exhaust gas to be directly discharged to the outside or discharged through the branch pipe.

Marine Diesel Power System

The embodiment of the invention provides a marine diesel power system comprising a diesel engine, a conformal heat exchanger with a first inlet and a first outlet thereof connected to the diesel engine and upper and lower sealing heads thereof as well as a second inlet and a second outlet for inflowing and discharging seawater, and a jet device at a second outlet of the conformal heat exchanger, wherein a first inlet, a second inlet and an outlet of the jet device are separately used for sucking seawater discharged from the second outlet, connecting to a diesel engine exhaust tube and discharging seawater and waste gas discharged from the diesel engine exhaust tube. By arranging the jet device at the second outlet, the heat exchange form of the conformal heat exchanger is changed into forced convection heat exchange, so that the heat exchange efficiency of the conformal heat exchanger is improved.

APPARATUS FOR REDUCING GREENHOUSE GAS EMISSION IN VESSEL COOPERATED WITH EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION AND INTELLIGENT CONTROL BY EXHAUST RECYCLING AND VESSEL INCLUDING THE SAME

The present invention relates to an apparatus for reducing greenhouse gas emission in a vessel cooperated with exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) and intelligent control by exhaust recycling (iCER), and a vessel including the same, in which EGR and iCER are combined so that NO.sub.x generation is reduced by EGR and CO.sub.2 and SO.sub.x are absorbed and converted into materials that do not affect environments, thereby preventing corrosion of an engine, improving combustion quality, increasing engine efficiency by iCER, and reducing methane slip.

MATCHING MESHES FOR VIRTUAL AVATARS
20210358214 · 2021-11-18 ·

Examples of systems and methods for matching a base mesh to a target mesh for a virtual avatar or object are disclosed. The systems and methods may be configured to automatically match a base mesh of an animation rig to a target mesh, which may represent a particular pose of the virtual avatar or object. Base meshes may be obtained by manipulating an avatar or object into a particular pose, while target meshes may be obtain by scanning, photographing, or otherwise obtaining information about a person or object in the particular pose. The systems and methods may automatically match a base mesh to a target mesh using rigid transformations in regions of higher error and non-rigid deformations in regions of lower error.

SHIP COMPRISING A SYSTEM FOR REDUCING THE VIBRATIONS ORIGINATING FROM THE CASING AND METHOD FOR BUILDING SAID SHIP
20220001969 · 2022-01-06 ·

The invention relates to a ship, comprising: at least one casing that delimits a cavity extending vertically across the ship's decks; at least one exhaust flue that is installed inside said casing and comprises a plurality of concentrated mass components and a plurality of components with mass distributed in length; a plurality of structures that support the plurality of said components inside the casing. Said support structures comprise: a plurality of main platforms, which define a main support base inside said cavity and is connected to walls of the casing at a ship deck by means of the interposition of main elastic suspensions; and a plurality of secondary platforms, which are directly or indirectly supported only by one of said main platforms and defines a secondary support base arranged at a different height with respect to the main support base that is defined by the corresponding main platform.

Automated guided vehicle for an emissions control system

A mobile emissions control system having an emission capturing system and emission control system is provided for diesel engines operated on ocean-going ships at-berth. The emissions control system may be mounted on a towable chassis or mounted on a barge, allowing it to be placed alongside ocean-going ships at-berth. A crane or boom transfers a duct of the emissions capturing system extending from the emissions control system to the ship to capture exhaust from its engine. Alternatively, the system may be mounted on an automated guided vehicle (AGV) equipped with a tower and a crane. The crane mounted on the AGV then lifts the duct forming part of the emissions capture system to the ship's exhaust system to capture exhaust from the ship's diesel engine and transfers it to the emissions control system, which cleans the exhaust and then passes clean air into the atmosphere through an exhaust outlet.
